Anyone?
w00t. This CD is badass.
Anyone?
Agreed very nice, cd. I've got way too much new music to listen to right now, but I always find myself looking for the RHCP and TOOL.
From what I've heard so far its good, just got it today. Also got Tool on Sunday.
Favorites so far are....
Dani California
Snow ( (Hey Oh))
Charlie
Slow Cheetah (Prob my favorite one)
Tell Me Baby
Hard To Concentrate
21st Century
I am spinning this cd again and I am liking more and more songs.
I've only heard Dani California, it's a good song.
Red Hot Chili Peppers are usually good though
Bah. I only have One Hot Minute, that's the only one of theirs I really like.
I will give RHCP another chance when they start releasing albums and songs that dont continuously mention the word "California" throughout them.
That's what I don't like about them, California.
seriously all of their songs now for the past 3 albums have been
"california oh my precious california, i love living in california, californiiiiiaaaa is where my life is.."
its too much for me
besides, california sucks balls
Here is the reason behind California....
Dani's Story
Main article: Dani (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
In "Dani California", lyricist Anthony Kiedis continues the character of "Dani, the girl" from the 2002 single "By the Way", and she is also mentioned as the "teenage bride with a baby inside" on 1999's single "Californication", though was never referred to by name.
Kiedis has mentioned previously that the character of Dani California represents all the women he has ever dated. Kiedis said "When this funky groove came up it struck me as a perfect place to actually tell a story. It sort of revealed itself to me that its been the same character, just kind of developing. At first I didn't realize that I was writing about the same girl."
There is a video clip of Red Hot Chili Peppers band members discussing Dani California and who she is, available on their official website.
lame
One Big Mob, Coffeeshop, Walkabout, all are better songs.
Well, they are from California
yes, the lyrics leave a bit to be desired, but come on. its rhcp we're talking about here, they have their own sound.
One Hot Minute is possibly the worst RHCP album ever.
I have to agree with Manny on that one One Hot Minute was terrible
Probably because that no-talent Dave Navarro was the lead on that album.
God I hate him, but I'd do his wife!
Dude, Navarro is awesome, but he wasn't meant to play with the RHCP. It just didn't go.
I don't mind One Hot Minute, but I prefer the Frusciante albums.
I think they keep getting better and better, especially the further they move away from trying to rap (aw yeah aw yeah). I haven't heard the new album, but I'm anxious to.
you mean the sound they stole from funkadelic right? as far as white funk goes i really prefer the limbomaniacs.
