I see it that way, already the Spurs lost HC, so comming back will be very hard if down 2-1

^I agree with vashner, if they lost they would be down 2-1, and Dallas would have to win 2 more games to win the best of 7 series

Not game three.... Now I think if they lose that one then Game 4 pretty much becomes a must win....although technically they could drop 3 and 4 and still win the series.

No game is a must win except when the other team has three wins.

You only play one game at a time. If they're down 2-1 and they win Game 4, they're sitting pretty with home court again going back to SA for game 4.

However, they at least need to be in game 3, unlike game 2. But if they drop a close one, they're certainly still in the series.

I think that if the Spurs drop Game 3, it will be extremely difficult for them to win Game 4 because the Mavs will be at home, very confident and have the momentum. And I don't want the Spurs to come back home down 1-3. So to me, Game 3 is what I would term a "must-win" ... though technically only elimination games are must-wins.

i agree with kori. a must win game would be if mavericks have 3 wins.

going down 1-2 isn't fatal, neither is 1-3. ask the suns about that if you don't believe me. 0-3 however is statistically proven to be fatal...so far, except in baseball. course going down 0-3 and winning 4 in a row probably depends on their team suddenly having massive injuries, or mid-series retirements (ie, highly unlikely)

I don't know what it is but I can't understand why Kori closes so many threads and not this thread, this is stupider than last years "Is Manu too old?" thread

The Suns were only the 8th team to come back from 1-3. That won't happen twice in the same postseason. Spurs need Game 3 to get their confidence back, and I am positive they'll be out there with killer instinct.

the spurs are a championship team. they just need to split game 3 and 4. if they dont split they are still very capable of winning the series even though it would be tough.

I think it's a statement game. Spurs got run out of their home court. They need to come back strong this game to show that they are still the defending champs. I expect Spurs to win Game 3. Finley, Barry, Horry, and Manu are all due for a good game...

i think if manu doesnt start playing well pretty soon and the spurs end up getting eliminated, it may be time to trade him. i know some of you love his game and everything but i think with the way he plays hes not gonna play to much longer and they should probably look to move him now while his value is still high. plus tony parker is the real future. hes already the best player on the team imo.

Yea, I'll bet you wouldn't mind having Manu traded to the Kings...

No, but they have to win at least 1 of the two road games IMO. The Mavs are too good to come back from 1-3.

I think they will though. This should be 2-2 heading back to SA.
