Seeing as how he hasn't worked a Spurs game since Game Two of the first round, it's not much of a stretch.

That would suck....
It doesn't matter who the refs are.
Spurs fans are lame if they are bringing this up before the game as a built in excuse to losing.
Bavetta calls it straight, and by that I mean bad calls all around. And then he flails his arms.
well if we get jack nies, bennett salvatore, and bavetta it will matter![]()
Well anybody BUT Javie

Hey everyone - first post...nice board you got going here. Just noticing how sad it is for the NBA that fans know the names of all of these referees. These guys should be invisible components to the game, not people we recognize. Crawford baits players so he can give the T's; Bavetta's "And 1" calls always remind me of Leslie Nielsen as the umpire on the first Naked Gun. Love him or hate him, Cuban is right and these guys should be held accountable.

dude you are so right!!!
I agree 1000%Love him or hate him, Cuban is right and these guys should be held accountable.
They should be, there shouldn't be fines for complaining about them.
They are the worst in sports, yet can't talk about them like they are so damn perfect.
"Hey, look...it's Enrico Pallazo!"
HE SAVED THE QUEEN!!!![]()
Not sure about Bavetta, he likes to please the home crowd.
i like Bavetta. Hes come a long way.
yea remember when he didn't call the bite that robert horry did on stackhouse...and then almost ripped bavetta in two?
i think they have been in bed with each other for a while...

Not crazy about Bevetta calling the game.
It is a factor.
If the refs make bad calls, but they have zero or next to zero impact on the game (e.g. game 2 of this series), very few Spurs fans will be complaining (at least they will admit Dallas won because they played better and the refs did not cost us the game).
If the refs make bad calls in a close game and those calls have a decisive effect upon the outcome (e.g. game 3 of this series) , I reserve my right to express that opinion.
The last two games have had way too many free throws. For that reason, it is more on my mind than it would be otherwise.
Dallas could win and refs make good calls. Good for Dallas. No complaints.
Dallas could win and refs make some bad calls, but it is clear that Dallas just beat them by outplaying them and the bad calls did not determine who won. Good win for Dallas. No complaining.
Dallas could win and the refs make enough bad calls (esp important calls- ie someone's 6th foul or during an important possession) that those bad calls had a decisive impact on who won.
Spurs could win and refs make good calls. No complaints.
Spurs could win and the refs make some bad calls, but those calls do not determine the winner. Good win for us. Sympathy regarding the bad calls.
Spurs could win, but they won because of bad calls by the refs. Then, admit the truth (however, remind Mavs fans of game 3) that Dallas deserved to win the game, but we got some calls we didn't deserve. I will voice my opinion in this scenario that Dallas was ripped off.
In only 2 of these 6 situations do I say that Spurs or Mavs lost because of bad calls.
I do not want Salvatore or Nies but i thought with crawford on saturday night the calls would go the spurs way maybe if we do get Nies or Salvatore the spurs may win?
If someone has stats I'd love to see how many calls get the local team... if I am rigth they are a lot of more than visitors ...
Besides that, A bad call with no consequence is just a bad call, bad a tons of bad calls jeaopardize a team.
for instance take any team that produce ... let's say 20 fouls in a average game ... couldn't go over 50/60 everytime they are on the road.
Thi is not about spurs (conspiracy ... etc.) it's about whoever were in white uniform or be a star will get the call.
Period
I don't care what officials show up tonight as long as the Spurs do.
THANK YOU!!!
At least we got stupid butt Javie out of the way.
I just hope it's not Salvatore and/or Nies.
