El partido ya pudo quedar decidido en el primero de los dos momentos citados, justo al empezar el segundo cuarto. Tras el empate a 16 con el que había finalizado el primer cuarto, el Ricoh Manresa sólo anotó un tiro libre (Ricci) en seis minutos mientras que el TAU consiguió de forma consecutiva una canasta tras otra, desde todas las posiciones posibles y con algunos rápidos contraataques hasta situar un parcial 0-20 (17-36, min. 16).
Quedaba mucho partido pero el Ricoh Manresa estaba ya muy tocado. Antes del descanso, sólo la vuelta a pista de Harper Williams y de Albert Oliver, contribuyó a que el conjunto local redujera en algo la enorme diferencia que le habían sacado en un suspiro.
También, sacando provecho de la rueda de cambios de Ivanovic (34-44, min.20). Al descanso se llegó con un 34-46 que todavía hacía albergar algunas esperanzas al público local.
Dichas esperanzas se desvanecieron muy pronto. Tan rápido como en la reanudación del partido, cuatro de los cinco jugadores que salieron a pista por el TAU anotaban consecutivamente mientras el Ricoh Manresa seguía aciago en ataque.
Hansen, Splitter, Vidal y Scola se apuntaban un 0-9 de parcial que, dejó al Ricoh Manresa tocado y hundido (34-55, min.23).
El cuarto final no tuvo más historia. El TAU Cerámica se limitaba a mantener un nivel de juego muy bueno, Luis Scola a incrementar sus estadísticas hasta los 52 puntos de valoración (33 puntos y 17 rebotes finales) y su equipo a incrementar la renta a favor hasta llegar a disponer de una máxima de 25 puntos (60-85, min.37) .
En el Ricoh Manresa se intentó acabar con dignidad, se pudo ver en pista a algunos jugadores poco habituales para acabar el partido (el debut este año, por ejemplo, del joven Miquel Feliu) y una canasta sobre la bocina desde medio campo del también joven Rafa Martínez.

Will he be a lottery pick?
Splitter was a projected lottery pick this past year but he struggled in individual workouts. If he can improve and then come over and impress in workouts this year, he's going top 15.

Noel Felix looks like he's struggling a little bit in his first couple games.
Noel's averaging 9ppg and 6rpg in 23mpg, but shooting like crap from the field -- but that's just two games.
Noel's 2pt shooting looks like ass, but his other numbers are ok.
37.5% from the arc and 100% from the line.
Is that 2.5 blocks?
His 2pt FG percentage is usually solid. So I'm not worried about that. Yeah, I think that's blocks. I'm not sure though. He's a really good FT shooter -- maybe he's not Spurs material.
I'm supposed to call him later this week and get the update.
Sankidze played his first game for Dijon too. He had 6 points on 3-6 (missed his 1 3 pointer) and pulled down 4 rebounds (2O and 2D) in 17 minutes. He's playing with much older guys.

Those are all-world numbers--and I' m glad to see them--but against what kind of compe ion? Even though we saw the Euros were better than we thought in the Olympics, I still have some reservations about the over-all caliber of play.
Still, let's hope he comes over next year and shows us he's the real thing.
