has he not watched the other games in this series? I'm referring to how he says Duncan barely showed up in game 5. So may reporters are getting facts wrong.
from an ESPN story

What am I missing? Manu spent a couple of days with "Basketball without borders" and Tim welcomed a new baby. That must be what he was talking about.Ric Bucher, ESPN The Magazine: D. (Although I wouldn't rule out B just yet.) They've been star-crossed all year with injuries, and Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are fatigued from offseason commitments. They'll retool, find the athleticism they hoped to land at the trade deadline and be back in the hunt.
Excellent article. Accurate and well written.
Is that you, Kelly?

He didn't say that.
"In Wednesday night's Game 5 win over the Mavericks, Tim Duncan was dominant, giving his team 36 points (on 13-of-19 shooting), 12 rebounds, three blocks and four assists in 44 minutes. On the series, he's averaging 31.6 points and shooting 60 percent from the floor, alongside averages of 12 boards, four assists and three blocks. It's obvious that the Spurs have been partial to his abracadabra all series long, but he was the lone holdout, the only guy trying to crank up the wayback machine. Until Wednesday."
He acknowledges Duncan's great play.
I didn't find this article off base.
Seems to be calling him out there. He acknowledges Duncan's stats, not his play. Duncan has been the only consistently great player all series. I realize the author is trying to praise the Spurs, just that he's probably still in the closet and ready to drink the Kool-aid while jumping of a bridge.but he was the lone holdout, the only guy trying to crank up the wayback machine. Until Wednesday.
The Spurs are dead. Long live the Spurs.![]()
The demise of the Spurs has been vastly exagerated.
