The pressure is on the Cavs and the Mavs to win. This is likely there only shot at the series and they know that in the back of their heads. I'm expecting great performances by both the Pistons and Spurs because they know what to do. It would help both teams to have a good 5 point lead in the last minute to not let the refs give some calls for Lebron or Dirk.
This will be one freaky Friday.
Pistons can be eliminated by a one-man band.
Spurs can be eliminated against a 4-men team.
Harris can be a tough cookie and James is not a bad player. I'd give Rasho&Beno a chance. I would give Delfino bulks of minutes. This IS AMAZING.
The Spurs will prevail. I want the Pistons to win, but I dunno. The look that was on Dice's face was miserable. LeBron is at his home and you never know what kind of home cooking he'll get.

But can the Mavs win big in SA without Steve Javie is the real question. His 25 assists and 19 steals really helped you guys out in Game 2.

I would say Mavs are the one under pressure. If they get to Game 7, they just returned to Game 1 all over again. One game to rule them all.
Wining game 6 strips Mavs of their spirit. Losing game 6...and Spurs will just make their respect for a team better in crunch time. There is no tragedy for the Spurs. Mavs on the other hand...
Terry really complicated things for them. I think they will never be the same team after this series. I wouldn't trust Terry if I was Dirk. He could have blown the series with no reason at all.

Of course Piston fans and Spur fans think the pressure is on them, but if you were not you would know the pressure is now on the Cavs and Mavs because this is there shot at winning this series.

lol the mavs and cavs are both teams playing better teams but they are both playing teams that are getting bad calls and shooting at low % i think once the pistons win game 6 and head home for game 7 it will be a blow out

Sure, there is pressure on the Mavs and Cavs, more so than any point in either respective series. But, I think there is more pressure on the Spurs and Pistons. Both teams were EXPECTED to advance all the way to the Finals. Both teams are better than their opponents. While the Spurs have gotten tough officiating, the Pistons have simply been outplayed.
I expect both Dallas and Cleveland to have great energy from their home crowd. And, I expect both to have a good start in each game.
I expect both San Antonio and Detroit to win because they should. But, each series has been so strange, so wild, and controversial enough to make me believe anything can happen, including both teams losing rather handily. I hope that's not the case.

Yeah, I think there's always more pressure on the team facing elimination than there is on the team that has another chance to close things out. The Spurs and Pistons are the teams with the most pressure tonight, and each of them will have to play well through that pressure to survive for another night. If you dig the hole, you have put the pressure on yourself to get out of it.
I do think the Spurs can play like they have nothing to lose, but that doesn't mean they won't have pressure on them. But it's not like this Spurs team hasn't faced adversity and pressure in a playoff setting before.

There's a BIG difference between winning Game 2 against a team with tired legs (coming off the Sac. series and the NBA's scheduling B.S.) and winning Game 7.
The Pistons found that out last year. Won Game 6 in S.A., lost Game 7.
And yes, the pressure is on S.A. because it's an elimination game, but so was Game 5. But unlike the Mavs, who are playing NOT to lose the homecourt edge, the Spurs are playing to gain it back. You can't say homecourt doesn't matter---that's exactly why Dallas wanted a split in the 1st 2 games, so they would have it late in the series. Even AJ said that the other day. So really, it's pressure for both sides. We'll just have to see who comes through.
It cannot be argued, however, that the Spurs don't have the experience of pressure. But certainly, the Mavs (in their current incarnation) collectively have less big-game pressure experience. Now's their chance to step it up---and if they do, hats off to them, because they will have finally proven they are equal to the task.
