Better team always wins in a 7 games series.
I must say this loss hurt so bad, cause we had the win locked up with Manu's 3, then he found a way to fould dirk then not make the last shot in regulation....BUT i know and all Mavs fans should know that they beat the Spurs' "C game". In which i mean the Spurs never played up to their best. Ever. We struggled the whole series to make shots when we needed them. We fought back like champs, but couldnt close the book many times on stupid mistakes. As good as the mavs shot, we still beat our selves and could have easily won in 5 or 6 games. I dont think the Mavs had a great D, we just shot tha bed, especially our bench! We missed open 3's that we usually nail and shut other teams down, Barry, Horry, etc. all were shooting blanks. Its all good, let Dallas have their glory. But i know and ALL should know that the Spurs are the best team in the NBA.....when they play their game. I do think the Mavs caused us problems with their damn small ball and a 7 foot perimeter player. But if the Spurs could have played their game, and everyone played up to par...we are in and Mavs are out. We could have played alot better! The Mavs are just aon their lucky season streak. Oh and the Suns will take out the Mavs in 6. Laters.......

I really don't understand the hate for the Mavs. I understand the Hate for the Lakers, but the Mavs are a great team, from Texas, no less. It remains to be seen if the Mavs can win the Finals, but they should have little problem beating the Suns.
I support two Texas NBA teams, and the Mavs ain't one of 'em.
I also can't believe that any Spurs fan would have the nerve to comment about the officiating which was way in SA's favor almost all night.

What a freakin emotional swing. From Manu's 3 to Dirk tying it up to go to OT. We should never have fouled Dirk!

It was a great season, Tim was a savage in this series. I expected Manu to come through this last game but thats the way the ball bounces. Dirk was out of his mind this series. Mavs should be commended. They came into SA and won. Enough said.

LOL, man ive been reading these threads the whole series and everyone is bashing the Mavs. Now i jump in an express me feelings (sniff sniff) and everyone talks to me. Im bitter?? Cmon, how can yall sit back and recover form this loss so soon. I never said the Mavs didnt play great cause they did! I dont think any team could keep up with their constant shooting and high FG%. They were unbelievable. And I think the Spurs were thrown off by their game play and we beat ourselves. Cause u gotta admit that the Spurs were leading in 3 games with seconds left. We found a way to screw up. I too thought before that id root for the Mavs if we lost cause id rather say that we got beat by the new champs, BUT then i see how the Mavs act really smug and talk way too much . Thats when i changed my mind! Go Pistons!!!!! Well c yall next year.

Yea that ty for Finley, all that work he put in with that team and now he gets beat by them and could possibly have shot at the champsionship. Sucks.
Nah pistons were better last year defense wise but SA made clutch shots and had the more balanced attack so best team doesnt always win.Dallas should be given credit for not making the mistakes the Spurs made but SA is still a better team then Mavs
