For some reason they didn't show up in this series until game 2. The way the Mavs trounced San Antonio in game 1 forced Popovich to alter his strategy in a way that was not comfortable for the Spurs in my opinion. I'm not sure why San Antonio was so bad in game 1, but that is what caused the series to be lost in my opinion.

I think it just proves that small-ball did not work. By game 3 he should have changed the game plan and used the centers. This is how we beat Dallas in the regular season and how we have won 3 championships. By playing small-ball we played into their hands. And IMO Pop was saying we will beat them at their game not ours. Two big men, defense, and half court offense is our game. We tried to beat them in a track meet and lost.

I disagree. We should have won last night in regulation on the last play. We also had chances win in games 3 and 4. Just didn't execute.

I still can't believe that Manu missed that layup and the end of regulation.
