They get it, they're just afraid and choose not to fight, which means they will lose. We are all afraid, some just choose to fight what they fear, others choose to run. But there is no running from this....it came looking for us, and it is an all out war with a second cold war tacked on for good measure.
And yes too much constraint is what caused us to lose VietNam as well...Same thing, we could have leveled Vietnam if we chose. And that constraint that lost it for us was the result of the government trying to appease the anti-war movement.
Constraint wasn't what won WWII.
Under no cir stances should another countries civillians ever be given a greater priority than the lives of our people in the millitary. I don't care if it makes us assholes. I care about the people that are trying to defend this country and help the oppressed. Wanting to help the oppressed doesn't mean we ask our soldiers to sacrifice themselves for people who are already too afraid to fight, and letting themselves be used as shields. No I don't expect the Iraqis to like us if we take this approach, but our troops will love us for it. Thats who I want to like us. I'm not saying kill everyone and target civillians, but if there is any question about their cir stances, or their safety is comprimised, the troops should shoot first and ask questions later.
Even if the worst things said about Bush are true, he is still a better candidate than Kerry. Kerry will lose this war, and that will a huge problem for us in the future...Losing a war is the only thing Kerry has ever accomplished in his life.
It doesn't take a great leader to lose a war as the superior power. The other side will usually be willing to accept the surrender of the superior power, it's not like Kerry is the only one who can lead us to give up...anyone can do that.
