he talked about how the Spurs players are all young and still have plenty of more opportunities
I don't know about the young part...
I was watching today's game between the Mavs and Suns, and then a reporter interviewed Tony Parker, who was at the game wearing Boris Diaw's jersey, I think...Anyway, he talked about how he was there to support his good friend Boris, fellow Frenchman. Tony seemed very relaxed and happy, even...When asked about how he is doing after the big loss to the Mavs, he talked about how the Spurs players are all young and still have plenty of more opportunities for more championship trophies. Anyway, it's nice to know that all the guys are doing well and have already moved on. I also liked how Tony Parker made sure that it was obvious that he was rooting for the Suns..LOL...

Yeah, I laughed at the young thing myself. And of course he's rooting for the Suns, and I really don't think its a slight at the Mavs, he's just rooting for his boy, as he has been ever since he came over to the Spurs from France some 5 years ago. I found it funny how he was wearing a #13 Jersey which I guess was a Diaw one even though Diaw is #3 on the Suns and Nash is #13. I saw that #13 and immediately was like hmm is Tony secretly a Nash fan? That would be interesting, and to top it off, he had on a #23 cap which I can only assume was a Jordan one. If not, then boy Tony has love for all NBA players.
Yeah, I think that when he talked about the "young part"...I think he was talking about himself, really. He's got the longest contract out of all the Spurs players. Hence Tony definitely is sure to win at least a few more rings...Being only 24 years old helps him a great deal...As opposed to the older players such as Finley, Horry, Bowen, Barry, etc...See, that's why I had started the "which player was most hurt by the loss" thread a few days ago...To point out the "age issues" and "contractural issues"....
The suns went on a 4-0 run after the interview but it was all down hill from there.
He was probably referring to the top three. Him (24) Manu (28) and Tim (30). Their core is realitively young.
And the future Javtokas, Mihinmi, Sanikidze, Scola
Yeah, very true...but I think Bruce Bowen is also that core...He has started in all games since coming to the Spurs in 2001...He will turn 35 soon, but, in my opinion, he plays the game as if he were in his early twenties...
he was wearing the # 13 of the national French Team Jersey.
And in the French Team , Boris Diaw had the number 13
^I figured as much even though I didn't get a good look at the jersey, but Nash was still my immediate thought. I knew the colors were wrong for it to be a Suns jersey though.
I thought it was sweet of Tony to go watch and support Diaw.
Nicely done, Tony.![]()
the 13 is the number of Boris Diaw Mother when she play for France basketball team
When Bobo came to phoenix he want to keep the 13 but Steve Nash got it
so he take the 3
seeing tony n the game definitely helped me move on.
damnit. shouldve been us in the wcf
I wonder where Eva was at...
when he said the spurs were young i laughed for 5 minutes.besides tony and manu it seems like everyone is 30 or older. and the everyone on the bench is like 70.
Hopefully far far away from the spotlight.
You'd swear she was the point guard of the spurs somtimes.
She was in France for the Cannes film festival.
Eva won me over. I really like her now. I think she is an awesome fan-
especially the way she Spur-ed out Michael Douglas dressing trailer when they made the Sentinal.
Good to see Tony taking losing hard![]()
You want the players to die over the loss.
You even were mad at Bowen and Pop for not acting crushed enough.
Yeah, he should be in his room with the lights off and the blinds closed on the ground in the fetal position.
Jesus, life goes on, the world isn't gonna stop because they lost a basketball game.
Yeah, I was kinda thinking the same thing. Why would Tony want to be at these games? I look back and think at everyone asking if Malik was going to be at the Finals last year. I would think theres no way as someone who just lost out on an opportunity you'd want to see people taking part in that same game you were trying to reach.
I don't know, it just strikes me as weird. I'd care too much to be there as a fan.
I'm with LJ at this one. This is being at the games you missed out on. Its not the same as just acting normal.
How did Rob take the loss?
