Qyntel Woods Position: F-G

Height: 6-8 / 2,03
Weight: 220 lbs. / 99,8 kg.
College : Northeast Mississippi CC
Woods has shown himself to be a real player when given minutes with NY this season. He's extremely athletic and has more potential than many realize. No one will offer him starter money, but he should get a legit contract from someone.
Let's just stipulate that he abused some dogs. I don't want whottt posting his canine snuff pictures again.
No doubt Woods has had a checkered past. He's been bouncing around in some tough situations, playing in NY last year couldn't have been easy, particularly jerked in and out of the lineup, but he was one player nobody heard complaining. Can the past be put in the past if he's cleaned up his act? What about Woods as a ballplayer? Could he fill the need?
I think we don`t need him
The big advantage of signing woods might be the price. I don't think he will cost that much. Might be the cheapest compared to players like Jeffries, Jones,...
Maybe, . . . the jury's out. I'd rather explore other options first.
the ir yes not sold on him as a person who get 15 minutes a night
I watched a few Knicks games where he got significant minutes and he looked extremely good.
I trust Pop sizing him up and getting him or not geting him based on character. But as a player he's probably the cheapest good solution to a long three. He has pretty much the whole package as a player and if his head isn't totally ed, which is a possibility, and he was humbled enough by what he's gone through he could be a good pick up.
The Spurs looked at him last season so I'm sure they'll look again. If for the minimum, he's got enough "upside" (I hate that word) for the risk.
Woods is high on my list of players I want this offseason. Only Reggie Evans and Trevor Ariza are decidedly above him.
He's long and can do everything pretty well. When given minutes with the Knicks, he put up the numbers.
I've been pimping him for years and the Spurs have gone after him twice and been shot down, so I don't know how likely it is. The Spurs would probably have to throw a multi-year package at him, which could be risky with his history.
Luckily, Pop should be able to ask his ol' friend Larry for an update.
Knicks can't keep both. I wouldn't mind taking either Woods or Butler off their hands.
Woods is another long swingman who the Spurs could groom behind Bowen. He had moments last year where he looked really good.
Pass! we would rather sign Stacy Augmon for the vets minimum to keep that 2010 cap space flexibility around

-Spurs Front Office
shaggy
the routine is old
lose it.
No thanks.
Id rather lose, than sign a head of this amount.
Thank God whottt hasn't gotten wind of this.
Qyntel would be fantastic. Since the Spurs lost to the Mavs I've been supporting the acquisitiin of him. He's long, but big as well with every skill in the book and is actually not so bad defesively.
Make it happen.
Perfect imitation!
I am also a big supporter of Woods and even though he has that checkered history, he is 6'8 , big SF who can rebound and defend well. and from the looks of it he doesnt get into much foul trouble when play long minutes.
Hopeful Spurs '07 SF: Qyntel Woods, Trevor Ariza, Donta Smith, Jumaine Jones, Viktor Sanikidze
Are you going to send me to my room and ground me for 2 weeks if I dont?It is day 6 and our amazing front office has yet to make a move because they are obviously preparing for 2010! Also I may be disgusted with our front office but I dont make a post saying "I wont post here for an entire year if the Spurs win"! I may admit to eating crow and being wrong but I dont post something re ed like that! Anyways back to our amazing offseason as we continue to pass up guys to get better for the long term future

Woods or Ariza would be good for the Spurs.
Holting pattern. Woods for a relatively high amount to get him to sign a deal with a second year team option.
Has this guy even been mentioned in any articles or reports?
Ariza would be really great but I think he will get more money somewhere else. Woods on the other hand can be signed on the cheap. He can rebound, defend, and dunks with authority. What is there not to like?
The animal abuse.
I don't have anything to say but snide marijuana and dog torture jokes so I'm just going to keep quiet.
Yeah that sucks but the hopefully he learned his lesson and put that stuff behind him. I dont think that should keep us from signing him.
