That first job sounds really cool. Too bad it isn't for the Spurs. That would rock!
those jobs sound awesome. too bad I don't have any journalism degrees or experiencesoh well. let me know if you come across any other jobs, I'm actually hunting for one myself.
hey how come i can't change my avatar?

I agree about the journalism thing - but I might give it a try given that I can write and have a technical background that would probably make them cry ... You're in Houston? Anything specific you're looking for? Might be able to ask around, pm me or something.
does talkin bs on spurstalk.com qualify any of those distinctive roles??![]()
You could not pay me enough.. well I guess a million + to live in that hole...
I just don't like it.. air smells bad... people are rude. etc.
I like the people in Houston. I have several friends that live there. And I have never run into anyone there who was rude...dumb maybe, but nice. You're right about the air, though. I could live in Galveston. But not Houston. Well, I guess, like you, I would for a million dollars. But, I wouldn't like it.
Actually, I might have applied for the Administrative job (that would fit me like a glove, I could do that job) if I was already retired. But, I have 16 months and a week before I can retire.
The air is less bad on the West sides of town, and you have less hurricane and flood damage potential on the West sides of town (unless you live right on a bayou). You've got some amazing restaurants and more/diverse/better museums and theatres in Houston and more acclaimed higher educational opportunities. Much as I hate this city and want to move 'home' (because I only take advantage of the restaurants), it's not all that bad, you know.
hole, yes, but decent benefits - perhaps like living with the virtuous pagans?
I hated living in Houston too- but it might have been different if I had family or friends and the Spurs there.
I liked Tomball. People there are nice.
if those jackasses on bspn can be bball analysts, i dont see why da average joe cant get a job with the houston teddybears.
Pakidan is moving to Houston!!!!
Houston sucks, especially now with all the 'outstanding moral citizens' from New Orleans that relocated there and helped the city's crime rate skyrocket 300%.
Vashner, AHF, etc. this thread wasn't for people to bash Houston.I was just posting it because a lot of our posters live in the area and I thought might be interested in the jobs.
Sorry Kori
I was thinking about the ones who are in the SA and would be thinking about moving there. I've got a cousin and a couple of friends from college that live there, and they all say it's a mess.
The jobs are good. And no not everyone is rude. My personal job experiance there sucked so that's what I base my opinion on. The quality of life is not as good IMO. My uncle lives there.. it's like a giant Kirby with bad traffic..
UNLESS your $$$$
wow, what's with all the hate on Houston? lol
actually I don't live IN Houston and never would! I live in Pasadena, TX and I can get to Houston in like 15 minutes lol. living in the city would probably suck, that's why I don't. the traffic is terrible, but I used to live in S.A. and my family lives in S.A. and whenever I go, I'm sorry but the traffic in S.A. is just as bad if not worse!
Houston has some things that might suit ones lifestyle over another. My statement " hole" was drama... It's not a hole.
Depends on the situations I guess... These jobs sound like they pay well and of course are NBA coolness.
Houston Fans at a Spurs game.. don't get me started on that...
plenty to do, people lack the pretentiousness of a dallas or austin, and close to the coast. if you live within the loop you can get most anywhere you'd want to (galleria, downtown, midtown, west u) in no time. plenty of good restaurants and the cost of living isnt bad. minutemaid and reliant are awesome facilities. if you live near pasadena or baytown life may suck. it gets hot here just as it does everywhere else in texas.
rockets fans suck though.
You like living in Stinkydena???![]()
That's exactly what I thought!
harris county also has i believe the highest concentration of millionaires of any county in texas. you'd think it was dallas going by the at ude. i like that about houston. in dallas everyone walks around like they have a dilldo up their ass.
Other jobs avail in H-town:

it's funny, everytime I come home from out of town, as soon as I'm in Pasadena I can....well.. smell it. I'm like "I'm HOME!!" hahah
I'm looking at that now.. thanks!
