He is out of place on the half time show in fact the whole ABC group is boring and slow and the first game blew. The media was glad to have different teams than the Spurs and Pistons well they got it. The game was a total dud!

I know it got better ratings I didnt doubt that I just said that they(media) were glad . But the game was a yawner moreso than any of last years games
also Shaq was the reason more people tuned in he is a ratings magnet

Game 5 with BSR's heroics was the first entertaining game.
they were more entertaining than thursdays game without a doubt. I hope the series gets better.I hope we dont get Anymore of that garbage especially from Miami I dont think they know what they want to do and someone throw in a free throw Even Timmy isnt that bad
i like wilbon, but i don't know if he works that well in the abc halftime group. maybe they should slip leba in there for him to argue with.
i thought the first two games kicked ass, and the second two sucked. then again i'm a spurs fan...

Actually, Wilbon is the only guy I really listen to on that crew. I agree, he doesn't fit in well with the rest of the abc crew, cuz he's actually talks with some enthusiam and has basketball knowledge.
i would agree with that as well. i absolutely love dan patrick, especially his daily radio show, but i don't think he works as well on a show strictly about the NBA.
i gotta disagree with the idea that Wilbon has basketball knowledge.
Hearing him talk, especially going into Game 1, suggested to me that he probably hadn't watched more than a handful of Mavs games all year.
Dallas is doing their part to make ratings. they can't help it that Miami is sucking.
The media is just happy that they're getting to go to Miami (mostly) and Dallas instead of San Antonio & Detriot. I doubt they really care much about the actual teams playing. , if I had to spend 2+ weeks covering the finals I'd be pulling for the Heat & Lakers (or maybe GState) to get there every year.

he may have been picking them earlier on, but I think he is pretty lacking as a credible expert.
if you think so, i think he has a pretty good understanding of the game. his specialty would naturally be washington area teams, but he has seen every playoff game. on another note, these whining mavs fans on the dan patrick show are hilarious. they are up 2-0 in the finals but whining about not getting respect... they sound as bad as the spur fans here still whining about the mavs winning.
ABC is too dumbed down for me. I prefer the mute button and some reggae.
Wilbon is good when you read his words on a newspaper.
Looking and listening to his boring bald ass on HDTV is lame and just a waste of time.
