Would be a fantastic offseason for us and make us the favorites again.

We would have a nice sized SF in Josh Smith that would be perfect to start assuming Bruce's role. JR Smith would be a very athletic backup to Manu.

This would make us younger and more athletic while still providing decent size at the wing positions and would address our two most glaring needs this offseason.

S&T Nazr and the rights to Scola for Josh Smith.

Trade Barry (and Beno if deal breaker) for JR Smith.

    Sign Javtokas.

Sign backup PG - Speedy would be a dream.

    Imagine this:

    Tony/Speedy/Beno
    Manu/JR Smith
    Josh Smith/Bowen
    Duncan/Horry
    Rasho/Javtokas/Oberto

    WOW.

I wouldn't mind it though. I don't think Atlanta would let Josh Smith go even though they are overloaded at that position

I believe the only player Atlanta might consider trading is Josh Childress... Josh Smith is untouchable imo.

And, Nazr used to play for the Hawks. Why would they want him back now that he's not even as good as when they traded him to the Knicks?

The Hawks really like Josh Smith. As has already been said, why would Atlanta give up Josh Smith?

I bet you play fantasy basketball too, huh?
I play that too, but I know when to seperate reality from fantasy.
    Plus, Nazr is a free-agent I beleive.
    So..
    You can stop day-dreaming now.

    That's why I said S&T smartass.

The Hawks are loaded at the SF position with 4 guys. They will have to listen to anybody that is willing to offer two big men (Nazr and Scola). They may not part with Smith, but they can't keep all of them.

I don't think that the Hawks would trade Josh Smith because, and I know this sounds crazy, they think they have found their team player. You know, one that won't be traded in 2 seasons. Let's just stick with JR. And I think we're gonna focus on a center because of the loss of Nazr. I want them to get Jarron Collins. I think Beno can handle being the backup point guard. In the draft, we should get a tall small forward, such as Vladimir Veremeenko. With Manu, JR, and Arvydas in the shooting guard position and Duncan, maybe Scola, and Horry playing power forward, and Javtokas alternating between power forward and center plus our new center we should do just fine.

We don't need a huge overhaul. The main thing is getting a big to rebound. We were 1 foul away from being in the Finals so we don't have giant holes to fill.

Drafting an unknown that we can bring over right away in the draft at the SF is good, and bringing Javtokas over and trading Barry for Smith and Macijauskas would be great.

We'll never get Josh Smith. They have 3 SFs. Smith, Childress, and Williams. Childress is probably the only one that MIGHT be available.

The one that's the sick dunker, no way they let him go.

The kid we almost traded Barry for...will probably still happen.

J.R. Smith is a wicked dunker himself.

Too bad Chris Andersen isn't still in the league. He's pretty damn athletic.
