Was a Slam Dunk Champion, the All Star MVP, Rookie of the Year, Most Spectacullar Player and Most Autentic Player, all in this 2002-2003 Season
this year have been amazing for luis scola it will be great if he can finish it with the acb le and then come to play with the spurs!!!
I like Prigioni backup (Ukic).
This guy is very young and Raptors have drafted him in 2005 : He looks like a steal.
Yes, but i don´t think in USA, only in P2P
Looks like Tau got their heads handed to them in game 1 81 - 67. By the boxscore Scola didn't have a great game, 8 points and 6 rebounds in over 33 minutes. Was that a bad game, double teaming, or couldn't he handle Santiago's or Garbajosa's defense?
Easy thing to guess...
Scola without Prigioni could be useless unless Ukic is incredible.
The Unicaja don´t let the ball come to Scola
He Finished with Only 5 Attempts (3/5 FG: 60%) and 2/2 FT
The Tau needs Prigioni, because UKic is a Shooter not a passer
Every center needs great assists in Europe. Scola without Prigioni (he dished about 10 points to Scola's box) needed a lot of outside presence. Ukic just wasn't enough.
Tau goes down a again 83 - 78 to Unicaja. Scola had 14 points on 4/6 and 6/6 FTs, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 turnovers in 24:46 minutes. I guess he had some problems getting the ball again or the defense concentrating on him or both or something else. Anybody see the game?
When Scola has assists...thats not good. Tau is at this time without Prigioni and with hot Ukic, so they would be better if they let Scola off the bench. Tau has good centers even without Scola, but they need confident backcourt.
Prigioni played some this game.
3 rebounds?
Rasho could do that, and he plays defense....
They double Scola almost everytime they feed him in the post, plus he´s been in foul trouble a lot. That´s why his offensive numbers aren´t good...and no he cant play defense.
Tau lose 3-0.
An article where Scola say that he coud play in nba next year :
http://newstec.sportec.es/noticias.a...0621_3&p=1&t=1
Time to trade him. Getting swept in the playoffs isn't a way to make the Spurs want him more.
We know you hate the guy, alright? Just leave it alone for a second, willya?
Hate? You got all mad last year when I said he wasn't coming. Who was right?
Does Ludden hate him too?
Yeah, you were right, but damn, the only thing you have to say about the guy is this piss parade. Okay- where's he going, then?
I don't care about what Ludden has to say about him. Is he on this board?
As far as where he's going, my guess is a team with a mid first round pick.
Scola did not impress me at all. I saw all the games and he cant play defense and is not a good rebounder, both things we need badly from our post players. To be fair, he was doubled a lot and did get into early foul trouble during the series which hurt his stats. It would be best to trade his rights while they still have value. In my opinion, his game will not translate in the nba. Florent Pietrus, Michael Pietrus´brother, was consistently handling him in single coverage, giving Scola all sorts of problems down low. That´s the type of player he would go against every night in the nba. The guy has good hands and good around the basket scoring ability, but against athletic nba bigs I dont see him having much success.
how does florent compare to michael defensively. his prospect profile says he plays good defense on pf's despite being only 6'7"
