Death in the family

Emo's tio David lost his fight with cancer(s) early this morning around 3am.

I wish I could say it was peacefull but apparently there was some kind of fight going on with his aunt and the ho e nurse over how much morphine was appropriate for a man whose liver and kidneys had shut down.
The nurse apologized about 15 mins after David took his last breath and my aunt slapped her.
*sigh*I really wish it had gone a bit nicer, but turhtfully there have been problems with the ho e people since the begining.


Thankfully he is no longer in any pain. Thankfully all that is over with. We have been expecting this but it is still hard. Emo was especially close with his uncle. even when you are *waiting* for the inevitable - it still hurts, and hits you hard.
The services will be in Houston - either saturday or monday, that hasn't been decided yet.

Sorry to hear that, Obi. My mom is going through her second round of radiation and chemo as we speak. I also had LOTS of problems with the nurses and doctors at the first hospital we took her too. Luckily, we had her transferred to a better one.
