ReutersNEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - Louisiana Democratic Gov. Kathleen Blanco signed into law a ban on most abortions that would be triggered if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns its 1973 ruling legalizing the procedure, a spokesman said on Saturday.
The ban would apply to all abortions, even in cases of rape or incest, except when the mother's life is threatened........
Even the left finds no other choice but to try and appease anti-abortion advocates. IMO its only a matter of time before Rowe is overturned completely.

Alot is made of the repub SoDak signing the anti abortion bill but when the liberal pine ridge indian tribe signs there own anti abortion bill no headlines nor protests were made.
a) Culturally the Oglala Sioux are fairly conservative. Abortion hasn't been considered historically for most Sioux women because of their culture.
b) Pine Ridge and Rosebud counties (where their namesake reservations are) in SD are two of the five poorest counties in the country - they have no money, so no one pays attention.
c) Pine Ridge represents a far smaller population than the entire state of SD - also, if someone from the Pine Ridge Reservation wanted to have an abortion (as long as it is legal in the state of SD), then all she would have to do is drive off the reservation to do it.
d) The ban was reactionary to the attempted founding of a Planned Parenthood Clinic on the reservation by the female president of the tribe - she's been getting a lot of for it.

There is nothing wrong with this definition. Same sex couples should not have the same status within a society. They could have the same benefits and and even the right to adopt a baby. But they will never make a baby on their own, so they are much alike to couples who cannot have a baby. They, also, are something quite unlike marriage. Status of such couple is more or less societas. They are a company.
overturning of roe v wade
Roe v Wade just prolongs the question and so allowing a wide spread debate on the issue that is purely scientific. Partial overturning of Roe vs Wade could soften the debate and make it more approachable.
All nations have the same issues. Slovenia has them with the same passion of hate and love. This wish list is not that bad. Moderation on the other hand is vital, isn't it?
Family needs a marriage status. Partnership just needs money and cooperation.
Infertiled are married. But ipso facto they are two partners with statutory-wise eknowledged rights. Marriage is the area upon which society builds making babies - by natural means. Infertile couples got their right by assumption they are making babies.
Gay couples and infertile couples must have equal rights, but that also means they need to be seperated from the fertile couples by some standard. At least by name. They are not equal in front of the law. If parents who misstreat their children are stripped of their parental rights, then parents who cannot have children should have a different status as their natural parents. Gay "parents" or infertile parents who adopt should have the same control but not the same treatment.
It is not just a conservative viewpoint that term family varies now to the point family means a group of companies with similar ownership?
