I would start somewhere on the internets. I hear that google thing does wonders.
no, i dont understand it, everyone always seems to easily be able to locate the information they need using google and other , but i type in exactly: History of criminal rehabilitation.... it give me nothing of relevance, everytime
Shouldn't elpimpo be able to help here?
Try the google scholar search option.
elpimpo has deadlines and doesnt consider his dumbass friends

Leave out the "history of" on google and you get a bunch of links, to nonprofits and the like. Those nonprofit sites should have a lot of information for you. It also depends on what kind of criminal offense you're talking about, because there are several organizations that are targeted for drug users, etc.
thanks manny but, i need specifically history of crim rehab, i cant even find anything in my librarys online catalouge
The history of all criminal rehabilitation? Dude, thats an insanely wide scope.
You can start with Cain, I suppose. Although he seems to have not undergone any sort of formal rehabilitation.
Smiting counts as rehabilitation, doesn't it?

If you need some more sources PM me and I can give you access to our online database (Which might help a but). i googled the development of criminal rehabilitation. Have you tried more complex and techinal terms?
yes yes and all that, i just needed a few articles covering a couple of specific topics to print out and highlight a bit for a group project/meeting tomorrow.
Cain was the smiter, not the smitee.
Cain did smite. And then Cain was smote in return.
When did Cain get smote (smited?)? I thought he just was made a vagabond and his crops wouldn't grow anymore.
Ah, I guess smite can also mean chastise.
Pretty weak if you ask me.smite P Pronunciation Key (smt)

"We can either smite you with this brick upside your head, or we can smite you with a stern rebuke. Now which shall it be?"
thanks jekka
I had always considered God's curse to be equivalent to smiting. I guess it's all relative.
And no problem, thispego.
I doubt you will find an entire book on this in your library's catalog unless your school focuses on this area quite a bit. You would, I assume, have access to electronic and online databases through which you can search for articles-- like NCJRS Abstracts; LexisNexis; Academic Search Premier; ProjectMuse (all ProjectMuse articles are full-text)...
For college, electronic databases which provide access to scholarly publications are infinitely better and more appropriate sources than internet sites. Google scholar might get you some good hits for appropriate articles- but many are not full-text.
