Stan is at home. He is no longer coach of the Heat.
Amid all the hoopla and celebration from the Heat's first championship, Pat Riley has now been vindicated for "backstabbing" his former assistant, Stan Van Gundy, by sandbaggin' him and taking over the team during this season.
Speaking of which, where is Stan? He's been con iously absent from any and all Heat festivities.
Stan is at home. He is no longer coach of the Heat.
Everyone knows that. I was referring to the fact that he's not been seen in the arena nor has anyone from the media been able to "coax" him into granting an interview. He's been sort of the forgotten man.
Nobody knows where he is, but Horatio Caine is looking for him.

He said small colleges is where its at because they play because their love of the game. He said players at this level normally don't have NBA prospects so it's just pure basketball.
That being said, he said he doesn't see himself coaching in the college ranks again but is open to the right NBA opportunity.
More details:
But at only 46, Van Gundy couldn't stay away from the game too long, and when Jorge De Cespedes, the former basketball coach at Biscayne College (now called St. Thomas University), asked Van Gundy if he wanted to help bring basketball back to the school (the program was disbanded in 1999 for financial reasons), Van Gundy jumped at the chance.
