Running "honey-dos" around town today (Being gone from home for six months, husbandly duties tend to pile up), I noticed a fair amount of flags at half-staff. I don't see anything of note on the national news, someone local pass away?

Re: Honoring the fallen men and women from San Antonio

Mayor Phil Hardberger and County Judge Nelson Wolff are ins uting a
program at the City and County level of government to honor those men and
women from San Antonio/Bexar County who have given their lives serving our
Country. They also have asked that we contact member businesses to gain
their support.

The program entails lowering the flag to half-mast on any day that a member
of the Armed Forces from San Antonio/Bexar County is laid to rest. As you
may know, Mayor Hardberger attempts to attend every service held for one of
our own. This will be the case tomorrow when Army Sgt. Roger P. Pena is
buried in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

The Mayor and County Judge are calling on all businesses to lower their
flags tomorrow, for one day, to also show our support for those brave men
and women. They have asked our local Chambers of Commerce to notify their
members in the future when a similar cir stance arises.

While out getting lunch, I got stopped by a huge funeral procession and it took a while for all of the cars to go by. Does anyone know if it was for him, but there were quite a few people on the sidewalk saluting.
