I would love this. move Tim to center, start Gooden at PF. and Gooden is an aggresive guy who can rebound and even score,too. I've heard all over the place that Cleveland is interested in Nazr, so in a S&T, im sure Nazr would want to play with LeBron James. The cavs have said that drew gooden is not the guy to fit the power forward role that they want. If this deal could happen,i would do it. how about you guys? what do you think?

Gooden sucks ass. His defense makes Nazr look like DRob. There is a reason that each and every team he is on gets rid of him. He's the modern version of Derrick Coleman, content to coast on his physical gifts and exert the minimum energy to draw his paycheck.

Gooden would be one of the better options for the Spurs. Great rebounder, good hands and nice game around the basket. The reason Cleveland wants to get rid of Gooden is the development of Varejo and they also have Marshall. I could see a sign and trade with Nazr as there are also rumors that Cleveland wants to trade Ilgauskas. I could also see Barry and Udrih go in some combination as Cleveland needs to improve their outside shooting and guard play. Of course there is also the S.A. connection in Ferry and Brown.
SA is not going to pay Gooden the $8-9 mil a year he wants...& he's not worth it...if we were going to do this trade we might as well bring in Scola.
You might see Scola go to Cleveland as, well. Barry and Williams (in two months) could match the 9 mil salary. 8-9 rebounds per game for Gooden is a given. That's 1 mil per rebound per game.

I like Drew Gooden's game. Sign him up. Spurs are missing a hustle player. D Brown and M Rose created much bigger holes than I thought. Still small but bigger than I thought.
Trade Nazr for a high draft pick? First of all, he's a free agent, second of all, Nazr is ANYTHING BUT worth a high draft pick. The Spurs would get laughed into next week.
Most of the trade proposals posted here would get the Spurs laughed into next week.

This trade actually sounds real good for the spurs. I doubt Cleveland would agree with it.
