i got this email from my cousin Eddie who is stationed in Iraq right now.

I hope the picture will go through for you; of this Army soldier in Iraq with his "tiny plot of grass" in front of his tent.
It's heartwarming!
Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq, stationed in a big sand box. He asked his wife to send him dirt (U.S. soil), fertilizer and some grass seed. When the men of the squadron have a mission they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil to bring them good luck.
If you notice, he is even cutting the grass with a pair of a scissors. Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don't stop and think about the little things that we take for granted.
Upon receiving this, please say a prayer for our soldiers that give and give (and give up) so unselfishly for us.

I have seen that picture on multiple websites and gotten it in many emails over the past several years. Can anyone tell me what the date coding on the side means? it's not in military format... It reads 2000 11 33 31 : 77. At first I thought it was the year 2000 11th month but there aren't 33 days. THen I thought hours but there aren't 33 hours in a day, nor are there 31 as in 31 hours:71 minutes ( which would actually be 32 hours:11minutes) . Anyway, Does anyone have the answer to this stupid freakin question so I can sleep tonight.![]()
god bless our troops and the fantastic job they are doing.
Great story Bling![]()
Thanks for clearing up the date thing Manny.
