The Pistons also announced late Wednesday that they traded Maurice Evans to the Los Angeles Lakers for the draft rights to Cheick Samb, a 7-foot-1 center from Senegal, who was picked 51st overall by the Lakers.

spurs also traded their pick for 2 future second round picks in 2007
Why the would the Pistons do that?
They traded for 1 pick (the better of MILs 2 2nd round picks).
Anyways, Pistons send Maurice Evans to the lakers.

Interesting. Looks like Evans' agent asked for him to be traded somewhere for more minutes.
why the did the pistons trade Evans?!!?!?
IMO Delfino was going to get the playing time this year, and Mo would have been the odd man out.
I think most piston fans will consider this to be GREAT news.
I don't get why Memphis let Stromile walk in free agency... and then traded back for him - losing Battier in the process?
HUH!?
Mavs deal Pinnock to Lakers
The Mavericks traded the rights to No. 58 (J.R. Pinnock) to the Lakers for a future second-round pick.
That was the price for getting Rudy Gay.
we better get into trade actions with the hawks who are havin trouble findin out to split the minutes to their 4-5 SFs, i would love to get one of them of their hands and put him in a spurs jersey.
Houston is STUPID!! Gay and Swift for Battier???
LuxTux boogeyman.
Im gonna laugh at Houston when Gay becomes a star in the NBA.
What a ing horrible draft. I went in hearing about guys like Iverson, Marion, Lewis, Pierce, etc. moving, and almost every freaking trade is for cash or bad contracts. It's like no one even cared who they picked, they just wanted to try to squeeze a few bucks out of whatever team was 2 picks behind them while rolling the dice on random picks.
This draft definitely sucked ass.
Count me as one. Either Delfino gets developed, or he's benched behind Bonzi Wells or some other major upgrade over Evans. Anything we get from Cheick Samb is a bonus. If Evans felt he earned bigger minutes this past season, then he needed to be shipped.
