This guy is 6'11 250, have great size, I wonder what he wants contract wise, his numbers could be better, may be good fit for spurs next to duncan. if we loose Nazr, or there nobody else, I don't know why this guy not getting any buzz! a.f.a.I.k. he's unrestsricted.

Spurs are desperate but this guy looks to at least be a good defender.
But he's no Evans.
He and Ostertag killed Ben in the Pistons' games against Utah this season. When the Spurs start retooling their roster to beat Chicago, Collins could be a useful role player.
Unless, of course, Joe Dumars trades McDyess for him to get a backup for Nazr.

Collins has passed up his twin brother in production ... even though the other Collins was a lottery pick and this Collins was barely drafted.
Yeah don't forget how the Jazz destroyed the Pistons on the glass in both games last year.
Collins isn't the greatest center alive but I'm starting to like him more and more the more I research.
A week ago people would be slitting wrists over some of their today's solutions.

Salt Lake Tribune - The Utah Jazz will retain center Jarron Collins, the Salt Lake Tribune is reporting.
The Jazz did not announce Collins' return, but it will become official in the next day or two, a source said.
A veteran center who was an unrestricted free agent, Collins averaged 5.3 points and 4.2 rebounds last season. Along with Rafael Araujo, he gives the Jazz experienced depth in their big-man rotation behind Mehmet Okur, Carlos Boozer and versatile Andrei Kirilenko.
"We definitely want him back and we're encouraged by the state of negotiations," Jazz owner Larry Miller said. "Jarron is very consistent, very steady.
Said coach Jerry Sloan: "He gives us stability. He's an executioner on offense - he knows what his assignment is - and he gives you all the effort in the world on defense. He won't quit."
Terms of Collins' new contract aren't known.
