Likely no room on the roster, but he's a good soldier, tough, and has caused the Spurs trouble in the past.

He's probably more affordable than the other Harrington, Al.

    No, he's not a long 3, rather a smallish 4.

That's definitely true. As a bench option he's intriguing. He's a banger and serves some post offense.

    Wasn't Malik Rose a small 4 too? Wasn't he like 6'7"?

I've always thought this guy is a decent player, chicago is loaded, given the chance he performed well.

I've always been a fan of his. He can start in spots, but is really a bench player. But as a bench player I've seen him knock heads and get on rolls.

I'd expect Houston to be a big contender for his services.

Not theres an abundance of options out there, but he sure as aint your starter to put next to Tim Duncan. In terms of what role he could play for the spurs, he would be much more Jerome Kersey than Nazr or Rasho. Someone that would be decent to fill out a roster but not meet a pressing need with.

He's not a starter, but at the vet minimum he's great off the bench. Again, the Spurs have too many bench post guys as it is.

You've got no starters in Center position righ now.

If you think Malik was a black hole, this guy is 10-15 times worse.

He can definitly score downlow because of his bulk and him being left handed. Doesn't do anything else but score pretty efficiently in short patches. Rebounding and defense aren't anything to write home about, and like I said earlier he is a black hole and ruins ball movement.

I'd take Lorenzen Wright over Harrington.

I like this guy. With Javtokas and Oberto they could form the new Bruise Brothers. I really believe that will be the way to go. If the NBA is going to go to a cheap foul mentality in the post then you need some hatchet guys who will get there money's worth. Soft big men will only spell lots of foul shots and encourage penatration in the new NBA. Opposing teams will think twice even with the frequent foul calls when they're on there on the floor. You will need three hatchet guys to make it work.

If we can land him for the vet minimum or a tad more the Spurs front office will jump all over this in a heartbeat. That way they sign an above average scrub and save money in the process!!

Will be 32 next season. Career has been going downhill for years. Should tell you something that Chicago waived him outright instead of trying to deal him for something.

I'll pass. we can't get desperate and take every over the hill player just because their available.

Trust in Pop and the FO.

I don't believe they had any roster spaces available, even with him. They had to waive somebody.
