Bracken Cave is 960 m to the southwest of Natural Bridge Caverns. The entrance is in a doline 30 m in diameter and 10 m deep. The cave extends N 18o W for 130 m as a single large passage, averaging 20 m in width and 10 m in height. Severed by collapse of the doline at the entrance, the cave may extend to the northwest, but to date no such passage has been discovered.

    hope that helps ...

    20M bats:

"Collisions with other bats or cave walls can be fatal. An emergency landing is certain death; the floor is teaming with millions of carnivorous dermestid beetles that can reduce a young bat to a cleaned skeleton within a few minutes."

I've visited there a couple times... and that place is pretty huge.. especially the mouth of the cave... but maybe Carlsbad is just the biggest in terms of size of the cave and this one is bigger in terms of population of bat?

I've been to both Carlsbad and Natural Bridge, and Natural Bridge has a higher concentration of bats from what I've seen.
