Looking for a handyman

I know that there are places like Honey-Do Husbands and ServiceMagic, but I was wondering if anyone, especially any single lady homeowners, had any recommendations for a handyman. Whether they work for a company or are self-employed, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Mine works pretty cheap, but you'd have to have a lot of patience concerning how long you're willing to wait to get anything done.
