Your hard drive may be dying. You should run some diagnostics on it to see if that's the problem. Do you know what brand of hd you have?
sounds like it's dying.
I have to turn it off at night because when it is on, it constantly makes this sound. you know, the sound your computer makes whenever you click on a program and the comp sounds like it's processing something or struggling to load something.
its hard to explain but maybe i did it well enough for someone to know whats wrong and help me out

I can't help you ... but you're probably looking at too much porn.
is that possible?
my hardrive? ehhh, unless you can see the brand form the outside, then no..
I have AVG and Vshield on it and , plus a pop up blocker but that doesnt do .
of course not, dont you dare tell me i gotta stop looking up porn cause i'll drive this computer into the ground if thats the case
Turn off the Limeware.
Seriously, when your HD is going out, it makes a clicking sound and that's probably the noise you are hearing. I would start backing up my data and hit e-bay for a new 200gb drive (about $65) IDE drive.
It might only be the fan going out, but my son is my Tech support because I know nothing-Ask my wife.![]()
Could also have a malicious virus. Open the case and see if you can tell where the noise is coming from.
that's what it sound slike
the fan that cools down the machine whenever it is processing, it wont stop, even if the computer is just sitting there doing nothing, no download agents or anything
Where is the mouse when you need him? You should call him up, and arrange a computer trade.

If you go to 'Start' ---> 'Control Panel' ---> 'System' You'll get a System Properties window to pop up. Click on the tab that says "Hardware" then select "Device Manager".
A device manager window will then open. The second item on the list will be "Disk Drive". Clicky on the little box to expand that option, and you will see the maker and model of your hard drive.
For example, mine is a Western Digital 60Gig.....it showes as "WDC WD600BB-53C881
If the info given to you doesn't make copmplete sense, you can enter part or all of that model # into google.
Once you find out who made it, you should be able to go to the manufacturer site to read their troubleshooting section or download their diagnostic tools.
Have you recently moved your computer to a new location that is making it warmer than it used to be?? It could simply be overheating, and the fan is struggling to keep it cool.
If it's your CPU fan that is making the noise, try removing the lid/or side panel to the case. If it's overheating this will allow for more airflow.
It could also simply be a case fan (not the one on the CPU) dying too. if so they are cheap and easy to replace.
I still think it's the virus he got when he tried to download every single episode of Bang Bus illegally.
