Maybe you would have gotten the finals in Ginobili had been playing in them?

Are there bars that play basketball games much? I will look forward to ESPN intl.

Not really, there are some sports bars though but they will probably show soccer is there is a game on.

The ESPN intl comment was a me trying to be sarcastic, it sucks pretty bad.

Sweet. Do you remember if they show English Premier League games, or is it mostly South American leagues?

You'll need to realize that here fútbol is not only the King, but the Queen, the Prince and the castle.

ESPNi sucks if you want to watch NBA games, but don't worry they show great domino and poker tournaments

Years ago NBA coverage was much better but then Stern got more greedy and we started getting less games. Every year is getting worse, now we only get a couple of games a week during the regular season, some from the playoffs, one complete conference finals series (none from the other) and no NBA finals.

There's been some attempts from the local TV to broadcast a game every Sunday (given that an Argentine player was on it) but the ratings were poor so it remains to be seen if they will do it again next season. If an Argentine player makes it to the finals, you can trust me they WILL show those games.

You're right, the Internet is going to be your best friend. There are many sites with live scores, chatrooms and, since last season, video streams thanks to our good friends of the Chinese TV (you'll need a broadband connection though).

You can ask Kori for the little flag but I'm not sure you'll get one, she's very strict with nationalities

    Saludos.

You are really a hater to be an argentine... Why move to Argentina?? Because it's awesome to live here.
I have several friends from NY, Las Vegas, Los Angeles... France, Spain, Italy, Germany, etc... all of them working or "studying" (the latter is a cover up for partying heheh).
All of them are glad to be here and acknowledge a more "relaxed" way of living and the way people is to each other.
Yes, everybody knows there is some sense of insecurity (if you watch news channels all day, you get the feeling, otherwise not that much... leave the houses people, live your lives).
And they know they'll have to move back if they want to make some real money and save, but overall, they enjoy it.
I have the exact opposite reactions from argentines that moved to US. Yes, the money is great, but pick your poison.

I will not answer any aggressive replies, specially from the right-wing morons that see Argentina as Iraq. Even people in Argentina that likes to mention they "travelled a lot".

Because Alvarez couldn't possibly be asking a question people usually ask when somebody says they're moving...

I think he was just asking the simply question of why he was moving there. Meaning ... is a job taking him there? did he just decide to move there on his own? is he moving for family reasons?

I don't think he was being critical, just asking a curious question.

    Maybe I'm wrong though.

Chill the out hendrix, I simply asked why ATX Spur is moving, as in what is the reason.

I didn't ask "why the are you going to that hole?"

    I love my country.

I teach ESL classes here in Austin. I'm about to be 23 and it's time for me to see the world a bit more. That's why I'm moving.

Everyone can put their weapons away. Thanks for all the input, all.
