Is anyone familliar with the site? The concept behind it is that you are investing in situations that occur in the same manner you would purchase stocks.
These markets are really very precise when it comes to predictions and can be used as indicators of what is going to happen. They work really well in that regards.
But this just seems like a fun way to put "your money where your mouth is" in regards to predictions. I'm probably going to throw something like 50 bucks on there and try my hand at things. They have almost anything you can think of on there.
TradeSports.com
Tradesports is awesome.
In 2003-2004.
When the Spurs went on the Rodeo Road Trip.
They were at like 33 to 1 to win it all.
I put about $300 on the Spurs.
When they got down to 10 to 1 before the playoffs, I sold some shares and made sure I made at least $600.
I kept a bunch and then sold it before the WCF that year. I was up to about a $1,000 in profit, and then let the rest ride.
When they won, I picked up an extra $2700.
So I turned $300 in to about $4000.
But lately, you can't get good odds on the Spurs, because they are so good.
Also take a look at football teams that have easy schedule to start. Put a few bucks on them, if they go 3-0 or 4-0, then sell for a profit.
Better than betting per game
i used it for miami, sold a future(+750 miami to win the ship, this was the odds before facing detroit in game 1 of the ECF) when they were playing dallas. figured dallas would win as many.
I should have kept it.
i love that site for guaranteed money, just sometimes if the future hits you lose out on extra dough.
Yeah, I was checking out the prices of the events, and I'd have to put in a substantial amount to make it worthwhile. I may screw around with a 100 bucks on there just to see if I can get the hang of it. It looks pretty sweet though.
