Dude is a beast, if Alex Smith turns out halfway decent, Davis will be a SUPERSTAR for a long time.

their oline is actually better than last years. we signed larry allen and jonas jennings and jeremy newberry are coming back from injury.... so it should be a huge improvement from last years invisible OLINE

Larry Allen is/was awesome as a run blocker but has NO lateral skills & can't pass block effectively (anymore). He sure as could open a hole for an RB though.

antonio bryant is a headcase. he can make the spectacular catches look easy but drops routine passes.

I know it is the Pre Season, but reports on Alex Smith have been encouraging to Niner fans so far. I hear they are using him more on bootlegs and getting him out of the pocket. He's an athletic dude, and should have much better numbers this year.

Vernon Davis is a freak of nature, and should put up some decent numbers this season. I don't think the offense is good enough to get him the ROY, but he makes it a lot better.
