I don't know that the Spurs were ever that high on him. They looked at him, but he wasn't one of their top 3 or 4 choices.
I know we were high on him... but passed up on him because of our need for a back-up point guard...
Anyhow, and yes....... I know it's only preseason....... he just had a monster game against the Bobcats... 16pts 12rebs....

Maybe it was just me....![]()
Anyhow, I must clarify.... By saying he had a 'monster' game, I'm referring to the fact that he is a rookie... and as a rookie, that is a very good outing...
It's a great outing. He has talent, but there are a lot of question marks regarding his dedication to practice and the game.
Gooden is putting up some good numbers as well.
Mitigates the loss of Boozer a bit.
I like the Cavs so hopefully one of them can step up and fill Boozer's slimy shoes. It should be an easy job playing next to LeBron.
You better hope it's Varejao, because it sure as won't be Gooden. BTW, Cav's mgmnt wasn't squeaky clean either. Anyway, I hope both sides bounce back and do well this season (just not against the Spurs).
