U ALL know the Spurs are not sexy in the eyes of the networks, and based on their TV performances last season, I would not want them on either.
ESPN has a habit of changing what games they broadcast if the match-up sucks. So don't consider it written in stone.
I'm surprised that Detroit has that many appearances. Many analysts always compared them and the Spurs, mainly because they were both more defensive-minded teams.
The networks are putting a lot of stock in some one-star teams. If Kobe or Lebron go out for any extended time with injuries, I don't know how many will tune in to their games. Same might be said for Dirk, Shaq and Wade. But I have to give them kudos though for giving the Bulls more face time.
Considering how badly the Spurs embarrassed themselves on national TV last year, I'm happy with watching them on San Antonio TV and League Pass.
spurs will be flyin under the radar this year even though the damn bookies have us head on favourites to take out le, wait tmac n the rest of us know that the finals is goin to be rigged where spurs are not playin in finals![]()
once again cry like babies

My comments:
8. San Antonio Spurs 17 = WTF!?
Reggie Evans future team is uncertain so a team nick name of 'hold ballers' was out
At least one NY televised game would have been interesting. Come on. Isiah at work.
Toronto should be on that list
Clearly the star power of Nazr has shifted the balance.
It's dirt simple. Nazr = ratings. He leaves so do the networks. That's why the Pistons are all over the TV this season. Stern knows what the fans want-rebounding and fumbled passes.
EDIT: Damn you Shoog!
Bwah-ha-ha-haaaaaaaaaaa!
I don't know if you can argue too much based upon the teams who are getting more games. The only team I would have expected to be lower on the list is my Pistons...Without Ben Wallace I figured we'd fall quite a bit in terms of nationaly televised games.
Phoenix is somewhat of a surprise. They do not have a huge market and it is still in question whether Amare will return to form. If he does then yes, I think they should be that high. If not they should drop significantly. I guess they are betting that he will fully recover...
its probably just because their style of play is more exciting than most other teams, so networks give them more games
Phoenix has made the WCF the past two seasons.
And they score alot.
That's because the Spurs win too much by playing intelligently and team-oriented. The casual or indifferent fan only likes watching showboating.![]()
Seriously? All joking aside? I think that for the bottom line this can only be good. The more the Spurs can fly under the radar, nationally, I think the better. It just seems that this team has more success with slightly lower expectations.
And the Pistons should be worse without Ben Wallace! I think....
Bro, I LOVED your names for each franchise!![]()
I Know NBA is Business
Suns, Lakers, Cavs, Pistons, Mavs and Heat i can understand a little little
But the Bulls ??????????????????????????
4 More Games, Why?
Big Ben over Duncan
Hinrich over Parker
Nocioni over Manu
Ridiculous
You are very correct about that. The Spurs make themselves look like dummies on national TV...no matter who they play. You are correct my friend.
Spurologist - those team names are hilarious!I'm going to print them out for future reference. You cracked me up!
