I know its just pre-season but he's shooting horrifically, I'm just worried he's gonna turn into another Hedo! Do you guys think that maybe he's shootin maybe too many 3's and needs to calm down? (even though 3's are his specialty) I hope he sorts this slump out by the time the regular season starts!

Yeah Barry is in a bit of a slump but I'm not too concerned. Any guard with career fg% of .464 after many years in the league means they are a great shooter and they'll eventually tend towards their average.
He shot 50% just last year which is exceptionally rare for a guard. Once he gets more comfortable with his new teammates and starts receiving the ball in his favorite spots, he'll be deadly I'm sure. His knack for assists alone is going to make an impact.

Stephen Jackson's performances are making Barry look like Hedo's twin brother.

I think once he gets used to the team he will play a lot better than he has in the recent games. I hope so at least so that we will have that spark off the bench.

I have seen people play 3 on 3 tournaments that have never played together and they still hit shots. That's not an excuse.

I ain't sugarcoating anymore, Pop should have signed Jackson. Jackson wanted the Spurs, Pop is stupid, it was in the media, in the newspapers, in interviews, Jackson wanted to come here. Why does Pop continue to sign bull unproven players? Go with the ring. Rebuild the 03 team.

What's weird to me is Barry is playing like a giddy rookie, while Beno is playing like the seasoned vet.
While I don't often agree with sequ, I'd say he's dead on here. Any of us who plays basketball should know that shooting is a skill that's quite independent of team mates. It doesn't matter who you're teamed up with.
If you know how to shoot, it will be on 'automatic'.
I understand that maybe for the first 2 games, he could've had a small slump, but someone of his standard will rarely have such a long stretch of poor shooting... 2-12 is horrible, especially following his sucky previous showings.
Could be that he spends so much energy trying to defend well that his shooting has suffered from it though... Only excuse I can find so far.
But then again, I haven't had the chance to see any games so far...

Another thing is I hope he improves on turnovers. His turnovers were pretty bad tonight
I bet that he is just trying too hard right now. Everyone keeps saying that his addition is what will put us over the top. He is trying to live up to that and learn a new system and play with new people....it could be enough to make him think TOO much about his play.
I hope this is the case anyways.

I liked Stephen Jackson i reckon that his play really complimented the team but Barry s aight too he ain't up and coming but he's been around a while. He looks like he would be more easier to coach and slot in to pops program. We lost a good player in Stephen but nevertheless we are still a championship team with or without him so dont worry bout that.
I guess give me time to watch Barry in the regular season coz i also have my worries that he will be another Hedo but there games are totally different. Barry can put the ball on the floor, and he got more hops that Hedo and need i say more bout his shooting percentage. I want him to take the ball in more though during the regular season thats what i think stephen brought to the 03 team he was a "slasher". Barry could be one too if he eases up on the 3's a bit
