Pooh, try an independent computer store, they usually have parts and memory from old computers. I know there's a place in Austin that sells old EDO Ram.

Is it Edo ram that you need? How many MB can you board take? I'll look around here and see what I can find. I think I might actually have some EDO laying around but I'm not sure if it works or not.

at the time, I bought a pair of 16 mb RAM chips. 4x32 (72 pin) ones...they ran me $45 bucks a piece. I can only use another set of 16...the max I can put on this computer is 72 mb

So you have 4 slots of 16 each?

45 dollars is outrageous..you can get like 128 mb of DDR for that much...maybe more.

The EDO I have is bigger than 16...32MB apeice, from a puter I had in 1997 and I am pretty sure one of chips is burnt. I'll look around Austin, there are tons of tecchie stores here.

Go here to look for memory-> http://www.kingston.com/products/default.asp

    http://www.cyberpowerinc.com

You can go and get a basic system here for $300 bucks. If you have some hardware experience you can transfer some of your old components to the new one. It's not a super fast computer but it's dirt cheap and can run most anything. I have bought two systems from Cyberpower with good results. These are the specs:

    -AMD Athlon XP 2400+ Processor

-LeadTek NForce2 Chipset MBoard w/ Audio, USB, & LAN

    -256MB PC2700 DDR333 RAM

    -40GB ATA 100 Hard Hard

    -Radeon 7500LE 64MB AGP

    -52x32x52x CDRW Drive

    -AC97 3D Wave Surround Sound

    -120Watt Speakers

    -ATX 350Watt Mid-Tower Case

Now if I could only get people to go to the actual site and order it, I'd be in business.
