    Here are some VERY interesting stats about Oakland's second half surge- turns out it is only till August then they fade away in September like the little es they are:

    Oakland's record in August:
    '05: 17-11
    '04: 20-8
    Oakland's record in September:
    '05: 11-17
    '04: 12-16

    Actually with 6 games left vs. Rangers and their historical collapse come September, it does matter. Of course, I am a Rangers fan so I am just being hopeful. I don't expect the Rangers to win the division- I think most likely Anaheim will. However- I still think it is very possible and will cheer like for my team to do so until they are mathematically eliminated.
