a friend of mine had 2 dogs
they have a fenced yard
one dog was outside who loves to be outside
at 11:00 PM barked and barked
owner opened the door other dog got out to see what was going on
then the friend heard a yep and then got a flashlight and found a dead kitten
what would you do?
burry the kitten say nothing it was like the kitten was inside a fenced yard with a dog asking to get killed
try to find out who it was and risk a lawsuit
true story I am not making it up even though I do not like cats
