President Bush, already facing the lowest approval ratings in history, is coming under fire from former supporters over what they call his "ineffectual and incompetent" use of prayer for national guidance and assistance.
"Every time the president is criticized, he insists that the nation is in his prayers," said the Family Research Council's Bob Jensen. "That may be, but it's becoming more and more clear that these prayers are either too infrequent, too brief, or not strongly worded enough to be effective."
Jensen added: "This nation deserves more than a president who just pays lip service to prayer. It deserves a president who demands that his prayers get real-world results."

1) The republican party and Bush almost mirror the propaganda methods used by Hitler in old nazi germany. The republicans are calling this fight against terrorism a war, this is propaganda. It is not a war, congress has to declare war and they have not done that. It is propaganda to call a fight against terrorism a war.

2) Hitler was born in Austria, he called it "the homeland" and Bush calls america the homeland, Bush uses the term "homeland" quite a bit and named the new security agency "The department of homeland security" frankly it makes me cringe when I hear homeland instead of american or country. I would prefer "The department of american security" and Bush could say "the country" instead of the homeland. My 78 year old father fought hitler and the nazis in WWII, he even stole a nazi flag from hitlers house. He also hates the term "homeland" when referring to anything american.

4) Hitler used the military against the citizens and Bush wants to do it to. The Bush administration has directed lawyers in the Departments of Justice and Defense to review the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 and any other laws that sharply restrict the military's ability to participate in domestic law enforcement. Military leaders oppose Bush and support the restrictions because their troops were not specifically trained in those roles, and they worried that domestic tasks could lead to serious political problems. This is really scary, the military is trained to kill people not be policeman.

5) Bush said he would like to be a dictator because it would sure make things easier. Hitler said about the same thing, then he became a dictator. Since the sole difference between a dictatorship and a democracy is that the leaders are popularly elected by the masses of people rather than by seizing office by force, being appointed by an elite or by assuming power via a fixed election there can be no other way to describe the Bush administration than as a dictatorship.

6) Bush and asskkkroft have suspended the cons ution here in america. Hitler did the same thing in 1933 when he brought the nazi party to power. We have an american citizen in jail right now who has been refused his due process and not allowed to see an attorney. He is called an enemy combantant to get around the cons ution even though we are not at war.

What conservatives don't yet fully realize is that the Bush family - including GW - are neither genuine Republicans nor are they genuine conservatives. What they are is genuine corporate-fascists. The minimally qualified GW Bush is a man whose entire career is based solely on his father being George Bush and all the helping hands that connection brought into play.
The four US Supreme Court justices who gave Bush the presidency were either appointed by his father, had sons working for law firms representing GW in the contested election lawsuits or had publicly stated that they had a strong personal commitment to making sure Gore never became President. Justice Scalia said he'd resign if Gore became President. Justice O'Conner said she could not retire if Gore became President because a liberal Justice would replace her.
Both Justices Rhenquist and Scalia have sons working for Bush law firms involved in the election. Justice Thomas' wife works for both the far right Heritage Foundation and the Bush transition team. These Justice's flawed and highly partisan ruling trashed the entire idea of States rights - the very same conservative ideology they have so vigorously defended-not to mention the rule of law, equal protection and the idea of judicial impartiality and restraint.
All hail our new American Furhrer, GW Bush and the real President of the United States, Mr. Cheney. They are the best fascists money can buy.

An awful scandal broke out in Germany on the eve of upcoming parliamentary elections. To tell the truth, such scandals are habitual for many countries, and Germany isn’t an exception. However, it is a sensation that American president is compared with Adolph Hitler in the leading political state.

Germany's Minister of Justice Hertha Daeubler-Gmelin made a statement which implies that George Bush follows the Fuhrer’s line when he wants to divert people’s attention from domestic problems and urges them to war with Iraq. In her words, “it is a classical tactic which had been followed by Hitler.”
The statement was immediately circulated first by the regional mass media and then by the federal ones, which in its turn caused a hail of protests. Certainly, the Christian-democratic and Christian-social unions immediately demanded that the minister should retire. They say, Hertha Daeubler-Gmelin has struck a shocking blow against Germany’s prestige. Consequently, resignation of the minister is the least Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder should do to somehow improve the situation.
Reaction of the US authority to the statement was rather harsh and immediate, which is quite natural by the way. White House Press-Secretary, Ari Fleisher told that the statement made by the German minister was disgusting and unspeakable, and her opinion on the problem was groundless at the same time.
However, this doesn’t mean at all that Schroeder will follow demands of the opposition. Social democrats won’t do it on the eve of upcoming parliamentary elections for one reason only: if it is said that the opposition is right, this will consequently cause damage to the Social-democratic party of Germany. However, according to opinion polls, social democrats just slightly outdistance the rivals from the Christian-democratic and Christian-social unions. So, any slightest mistake may result in a defeat at the elections.
It’s hardly likely that the words said by the German Minister of Justice are rash, they look very much like a political trick on the eve of upcoming elections. It is an open secret that majority of Germans disapprove of Bundeswehr’s participation in an offensive in Iraq and of any war on the whole. Chancellor Schroeder declared several times himself that it wasn’t right to fight Saddam Hussein’s regime with force. By the way, Schroeder’s rival, Edmund Stoiber lost several percent of the votes when he failed to say what Conservatives were thinking about anti-Iraq war. Stoiber was speaking about the allied relations with the USA, which was treated as an approval to the deeds of George Bush and his administration.
So, the words by Hertha Daeubler-Gmelin are just an instrument in the pre-election struggle. It is quite likely that the instrument will be very useful and Social-democrats will gain more votes. All means are good for a successful result. But what is the chancellor to do with the minister if Social-democrats win the elections?

In total, Asians own less than 1/7th of the U.S. national debt. If all of the sudden all the Asian countries including China decided to trade their dollars, or treasury bonds for Euros, other countries would buy their share of the debt-load. It may lead to increased interest rates as available credit drys up and creditors ask for a higher return for their money, but the only real thing that would damage the purchasing power of money is if the government decided to print way to much of it, other countries caught on to what was going on, and despite what it would do to their own economies considering they would have billions in now worthless dollars in their safes, decided to quit purchasing American securities altogether.The American dollar gets its value from the yen, and on the world market is not worth much.
