You all suck as fans. Your strategies for supporting our team are inferior and you are at the root cause of all of our problems. Everyone loses once in a while. Even Chelsea lost to Middlesborough last week! Who would have thought that would happen?!
The loss for this USA team is the same reason the last USA team lost and it has nothing to do with the fans. The team selection was suppose to be a collection of different talents so as to complement each other including bench players.
Arenas left the team because he wasn't given a chance to compete. He easily is the best shooter on the team. Bowen would have excelled in a bench role and if set up in the corner would have nailed the three.
Instead, the coaching staff stuck with the three pups of similar skills and big names and boom, here we are again.
If the USA wants to fix this thing, put Pop in charge and let him select the players. He'll bust the balls that need to be busted and get rid of the guys who won't play team ball. I have no doubt Pop could put a team together of players who were not even invited and easily win the whole thing present USA team included.
Point: It's the chemistry.
I think people take this too seriouisly, I mean when you think about it, prior to this game, USA was 7-0 in the tournament. Winning 8 in a row is a lot to ask for, even if the teams aren't as great. Eventually, you aren't gonna be in a hot shooting streak and a good team can beat you. It's not like they got blown out, they lost by 6, and sometimes this happens.
Its Arrogance... thinking that because they are big time USA Players the rest of the world will bow down to their dominance. Lessons should be learnt, as you will even have to go through the qualifying rounds for the Olympics now.
It's funny that people condemned the Athens team as a bunch of whining me-first prima donnas but then invited three of the biggest offenders back for this team while blaming Iverson and Duncan for the bronze medal finish.

Did you watch the game at all ? You could see that they were in the lead, started coasting and couldn't get back in the game again. Their own arrogance led them to believe they had already won. I am saying the USA team thought they were the better team, instead of going out there and proving it. I am calling the players arrogant, not the fans or the Nation.

Well you obviously got the two games mixed up, since the USA got the kicked out of them by an offense they couldn't stop and that wouldn't miss, and Argentina are the ones that coasted after getting out to a big lead. Do you know anything about sports or are you just here to pick fights? If the latter, I'll be perfectly happy to own your stupid ass whenever you'd like.

coasted? WTF are you talking about? Do YOU know anything about anything? Argentina lost to Spain, one of the best teams in the world, and they only lost by 1 having trailed for most of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters. They NEVER coasted. Yeah they started strong and gained a ten point advantage in the first 3 minutes, but one would have been a fool to think Spain was not going to wake up.

actually I did watch the game. I didn't see it the way you did. You didn't present facts, you presented an opinion. One that I disagreed with. You say the USA thought they were the better team. If Greece said that, are they arrogant? I don't have a problem with any team going into a game thinking they are better. Would you rather have a team going into a game saying "well we are not that good" if they did that, then the game is over before it starts. Just because you say they were coasting and you say they were arrogant, doesn't make it truth...just because I saw it a different way doesn't mean I am 100% right either. I saw a team that was confident in themselves and then got beat by a team that was playing better. You hate the USA..that's cool and that's your choice.
