I think you are the idiot, since Notre Dame was #2 in the AP last week. I don't know how Aggie math works, but that is down two spots.
Not that this is anything new but...
Notre Dame struggles to get by an unranked GT team 14-10, and they move up 4 spots to #4 in the AP poll this week.
Un ingbelievable. I swear, all the voters must be Irish or something.

And they moved down two spots (tied for 3 to 5) in the USAToday poll.
That (8) you see after Notre Dame isn't their previous ranking, it's how many first place votes the Irish got this week. Easy mistake to make since in basketball season that's how the AP shows where they were the week before.
While I can understand that excuse, it's kind of hard to believe Ohio State was ranked 39th last weekend without figuring that out.
And AHF, I think you're just going to have to accept the gentle ribbing for awhile.
Common mistake to make. He probably didn't even notice the OSU number. Anyone can make that mistake, doesn't mean anything.
I know, but it's still funny when a poster (especially a guy as known as AHF) makes a goof. It's like gentle bar-ribbing, without making AHF buy us drinks.
I understand. It was a perfect situation for a 'Horn such as myself to take a shot at an agg... but it was too easy. I'd rather have the drink![]()
Fair enough. Actually I was just walking through the living room when ESPN had the rankings on ESPNNews, and the graphic looked like it was saying previous position.
Now that I re-read this thread...if AHF wants to make an argument about those eight first-place votes, I'll agree.
True... no way ND should have gotten any first place votes after barely surviving GT... especially how well OSU, Texas, and USC played.
8 first place votes...
There's whoever writes for the Northern Indiana rag, 5 or 6 Irish Catholics around Chicago and Boston, and a couple ND bandwagoners.
