Asking means you've never been to either.

If you are a basketball fan, I don't see how anyone could favor the Dome. It was just a football arena that was used as a make-shift basketball arena.

alamodome was better because I could afford season tickets in club level. now, i can afford 5 games and watch rasho, or someother scrub that pop signed.

I like the use of the question mark ("?") Jonathan but the rest of the words in the sentence make for a fairly lame question.

    Which Arena was better?
First of all, both venues are currently still in use for various events, thus past tense "was" is an improper tense. Secondly, SBC Center has had a name change to AT&T Center, although nothing else really changed about it except for signage.

Club level at the Alamo Dome = about halfway up the upper deck in the ATT Center in both distance from the court and height above it.

i'm not a spurs fan but i've been to several games at both venues...i don't like the at&t center at all, it's too dark anywhere outside of the first twenty rows, they need to paint the ceiling a lighter color...this is probably the only reason i liked the alamodome...oh yeah, and it wasn't in BFE

As most everyone has said, the dome was a terrible place to watch basketball.

I only got to go to Hemisfair a few times. From what I remember, it was kind of run down in its last years when I was there, and there were pillars that obstructed the view from some of the seats, but it was great for amplifying crowd noise, and it was a fun place to watch a game.

I really like AT&T, and the sightlines are great, even at the very back of the upper deck. I don't think it's as loud as Hemisfair could get, which is kind of a shame.

I have two memories at the Alamodome...first game of the 1999-2000 season (ring ceremony) and some random regular season game I went to with my family and some five year old little girl was sitting behind me and screaming "Go Avery" "I Love You Avery" and other stupid like that even when AJ wasn't on the court. DRob could throw it down and she would say Go Avery. Had to be one of the most annoying nights in my entire life.

AT&T is the . That's all I have to say.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that. I was at the Alamodome for Game 2 of the 1999 West Finals (the Memorial Day Miracle) and at the SBC Center for the clinchers against New Jersey and Detroit and can assure you that it was louder at SBC Center for those games than it ever was at the Dome.

Agreed. The clinching game against NJ was the loudest game I've ever attended.

but i do believe we averaged about 21,000 per game at the dome..... and not to mention we currently hold the rercord for a season opener....i think it was like 36,000....

Does this even qualify it's own thread? Besides, the place has been the AT&T Center for almost a year now.
