They need to change that because it's freakin old as !! Put on a modern hip hop or rock song at least.
I vote for the theme song from Knight Rider. It's just so cool. And as an added bonus Dirk will then be distracted by visions of Hasselhoff whenever he plays in the AT&T Center.
I hope they keep it. I really get pumped up every time I hear it. It's so full of energy.
I used to want the use Nelly's "The Grind", but now it's probably getting too old. I agree we need some new rap/hip hop intro song.
I didn't care too much for Miami's Bring 'em out. I will have to think about it.
I actually like the Maverics intro song - The Who - Eminence Front.

And while we're on the music the Spurs use, I've still never learned the name of that instrumental up-tempo thing that the crowd always sings along with. Although I think I did hear once that it was by Kraftwerk. Any ideas? That damn song always gets stuck in my head when I hear it.
Personally, I would love to use "Vespertilio" from the BATMAN BEGINS soundtrack. Dark, chilling, and powerful. I doubt though that would appropriate for an NBA game intro though. But that's just me.
Cowboys from by Pantera would be pretty cool.

Yes the song is old, but alot of old songs still get me pumped up. This song is one of them. Everytime i play it (I am a DJ) I still get reved up for basketball!!

How about Final Countdown by Europe? That would be new.
That's a late game song, when the game is on the line. Get ready for this is a fire you up song, Final countdown is a "don't give up" song.

well i sure hope thats the biggest complaint of a new season, because if the worse part of a season is the intro song, then play it while we lift another trophy...when that happens i'll love ready for this all over again.

hip hop doesn't get me pumped for anything except grinding on some skanks ass
during the finals, whenever they would play this song after the pistons had just been introduced I would just hold my head in my hands. It sounded so lame and in my opinion just killed our morale.
They really should change it, its horrid.
Like ASF, the whole "Ya'll ready for this" song produces an image of a grinning Avery pointing and shaking his shoulders...NO THANKS! We were promised by Holt a couple years ago the song would change, of course nothing happened though.
I say they play whatever gets TD, TP, and Manu ready to kick some ing ass. That's all that matters. If playing ABBA gets the Spurs rollin' and smokin' people then play it as loud as possible.

Thank god I'm not the only one who hates the crap outta that old ass song, everytime they play it the crowd goes all crazy and I'm just thinking to myself spirit fingers spirit fingers spirit fingers. haha well yeah i agree the song should be changed, to what i dunno but it needs to be changed.
