damned crap decided that all of my songs wherent named correctly, but it ed them all up, i though they where all different albums by the artist and now its a ing mess... anyway to get media player to stop updating my song information.??

anyone have any better ideas? i used to use winamp back in the old windows 95 days... it sucked

To prevent Windows Media Player from retrieving related media information from WindowsMedia.com and updating your digital music files, do the following:

1.
Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, and then click MoreOptions.
2.
Click the Privacy tab, and then clear the Update music files by retrieving media info from the Internet check box.


Windows Media Player supports other options that control the updating and overwriting of related media information. For more information, do the following:

1.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Options.
2.
Click the Library tab, and then examine the options for automatically updating the media information for files.
