The UAB game should be void to.

good luck with that.![]()
The UAB game should be void to.
What a pussy.
Howabout this - the day OU forfeits all the games and bowl money it got last year for playing a QB that was on salary at a local car dealership, they can take this one off the win-loss ledger.
Single greatest point to be made in this story.
I'm glad the University President is weighing in on this important academic issue.
I wonder if he reviews the results for gymnastics and Rhodes Scholars this carefully.
Gymnastics doesn't bring the university tens of millions of dollars. This loss could of somehow cose them a spot in a BCS bowl(assuming they somehow won big12 south).
Those officials were suspended for one game.
Link
This loss doesn't affect a single thing in the Big XII.
It was going to be hard for OU to look like the idiots in this fiasco, but somehow the university president managed to pull it off.
Prospective students considering enrollment at OU should take this as a clear sign where the school's priorities lie under current leadership.
It could if it messes too much with their heads. I don't think Stoops will let that happen though. This loss doesn't affect a single thing in the Big XII.
How does the loss not affect Big12? Every game matters, duh?
Those refs should be FIRED. OU got the biggest shaft in college football history and leave it to their rival fans to joke with it. It it happend to Texas god have mercy on this forum.
Ok why don't you check the Big12 standings and tell me how far this loss dropped OU. I hope they're not mathematically eliminated from Big12 le game contention, because that would be the only way this game cost them a BCS bowl.
Unless you believed OU was going to win the National le this year.
Exactly. How many kids going to CU today care that the 5th Down happened? Zero, all they know is they won the mythical NC that year.
I don't think the University President should be writing to get results overturned, especially after the very recent scandals at OU. That being said this is an extremely important game for OU and the officials should be fired immediately and Oregon (along with all other Pac 10 teams) should not be allowed to use their own refs for these replay booths. If the change isn't made then every non Pac 10 team should completely boycott playing at a Pac 10 school every year until the change is made. Don't schedule them if the insist on having their own refs. Whether you like it or not, this is a multi, multi million dollar business and in America, money talks.
I know Trinity scored on the fifth down play, but how many people really read my story.

And that's certainly reasonable.
Don't intersectional games usually have neutral crews? Or is that just in Bowl games?
In what way? They won't go undefeated anyway, this game has zero implications for B12 le hopes for them. That being said this is an extremely important game for OU
Usually the road team brings a crew from their conference, i.e., it should have been a B12 crew calling the game.Don't intersectional games usually have neutral crews? Or is that just in Bowl games?
The PAC-10 is the only conference in the country where they insist that their refs call the games (both on the field and in the replay booth). Kinda lame, but OU knew it when they signed the contract, they just didn't realize they were going to take it up the ass.
Hey good point.
horrible point. its a football team that controls their own destiny...except not quite as much anymore. i am not interested, and i am sure neither is OU, in what people THINK would have happened to their season. they play the games for a reason....and here's a crazy idea, why don't we let them decide it and find out for themselves.
I must have missed the press conference the OU President held when that happened. I mean, surely that had to be a bigger concern for a university president than what a few incompetent referees did?
How does it control its own destiny? Again... they won't go undefeated, and even if they had they'd still need all but one of Ohio State, Michigan, Auburn, USC, West Virginia, Florida, Louisville, Georgia, Va. Tech (all teams undefeated and ahead of them in the polls) to lose between now and the end of the season.horrible point. its a football team that controls their own destiny.
So they'd have to go undefeated (which they won't) and have eight of those nine to lose a game for them to find themselves in the NC game.
Otherwise, they win the B12 and they're still in a BCS game.
Like I said, I'd probably have a little more sympathy for them if their football and basketball programs weren't full of cheaters.
, forget about Bomar, Peterson, the backup LB, and the car dealership. Howabout all Kelvin Sampson's cheating in recruiting?
And the university president has his panties in a bunch over this? Gimme a ing break.
Well, now that they have a loss obviously they won't go undefeated. But prior to losing this game, OU had the possibility to, no matter how small you think it was. There is only one true test left on the schedule, if they are able to beat Texas, all signs point to them running the table.
Anyway, obviously the game can't be voided and its silly to even ask. Like Stoops has said from the get go... the outcome isn't going to change, we can only move forward and force the Pac-10 to change their ways that result in this kind of non-sense.
I think the 1 game suspension is weak though... the replay officials and the head official from that game should all be fired.
Yep. Fired.
Like taking the change some old lady drops and walking off with it. They got their way, now let what's actually right have its way. The game is over, Sooners lose. Give them justice!
Anyways... Hogs gunna play Texas next year... cool...
