Still staying in bed all day because Malik was traded? Welcome back, Marcus.
Well, at least we'll draft from a higher spot next June.

Well o Mr. Optimism.![]()
Nah, I've been boozing it up all summer because the Spurs got dropped by the Dallas Mavericks last spring.
At least we got Francisco. Whoever the that is.
Would love to know who was available that was better.
Nobody. We shouldn't expect anything except what we are given.
If Jackie Butler isn't starting over Francisco Elson by the All-Star break, it could be an even longer summer next year.
The Spurs lose in the second round and the best thing about their summer moves is that they trimmed payroll and perhaps didn't get worse.
believe? (in the above?)
alot of fans (including me) would love to have the team you guys have and your being this negative? 3 les in 7 or 8 years as a kings fan and i would ing throw a party everyday the whole month. i understand when your used to success you get a little spoiled but the spurs are still legitimate contenders IMO.
good point... success breeds unreal expectations. There were no moves to be made this summer that would do anything to improve the team. I expect a couple of moves during the season once the chips start to fall in place near the deadline.
I like the optimism here. Excepting the fate that the Mavs will finish ahead of you next season will make it less painful.![]()
Is this glass half full, or half empty?
what is with some of you mavs fans? you guys are the next team that needs its own forum around here because you guys are always trying to piss of spurs fans and it gets really old sometimes.
No sense in being pessimistic about the replacements for the 1st and 2nd string Centers and some 3rd stringers until you've seen them all mesh with the rest of the team. Most fans weren't thrilled with last year's 1st and 2nd string Centers and the Spurs still won a Franchise High 63 games.
My glass is half full and it's not full of booze.
Solid D your the truth man!

bunch of crybabies.
i believe one play goes differently and the spurs have another championship. no big deal, it'll happen this year.
I'd say as Spurs fans, we do get a little too spoiled and expect greatness everytime. I think that some day if there's ever a dark era for the spurs, we will look back at these past 7 or 8 years and the 3 les within those and appreciate what we did have. Enjoy it because like mentioned above, we are still contenders that can grab yet even another le. Most other teams would kill to be in the Spurs shoes and share their past success. Okay, I'm done.
Except that we would first need to accept the use of the correct word in that sentence. Must suck that the one time you beat us, you in' blow the championship that was handed to you. Can't wait for this year![]()
Nazr Mohammed and Rasho were both garbage. Butler and Elson may be too, but at least it's not written in stone like with Nazr and Rasho.
And what if it's Fabricio Oberto who is starting?
Expectations are high when you have TD, Tony, and Manu in their primes on the same team.
The Spurs window is closing. This team should have 6 Championships with this core group. Anything less is failure.
Well they're going to do good this year, just as it has been with every year since DRob and Duncan came. No surprise if we get 2007 back
The Spurs are going to live and die with Tony, Manu, and Tim.
They won 63 games with only one of the three having a good year.
If Tim, Man, and Nine-Fingers are healthy, everything else should be window dressing.
If they aren't, nothing else really matters.
I agree with my brother Marcus.
