You forgot to bold the most ironic of phrases:
because the nature of the mission is now unrealistic and because the scope of our mission is now limitless. . . .
An assessment which can be easily be applied to Iraq.
Faux news tool Chris Wallace thought he had him a prize for his right wing master when he tried to take on the "Big Dawg" and promptly got his ass handed to him by the former president. More than likely Wallace didn't realize the hornets nest he stirred up by trying to reiterate right wing talking points in his propaganda vehicle otherwise know as "Fox News Sunday".
Bloggers and Dems all over are digging up all sorts of things about right wingers who have tried so desprately to rewrite history. Like this piece from a Kay Bailey Hutchinson speech on the floor of the Senate back in '93. That was the time righties will tell you Clinton cut and ran from Somalia which in turned emboldened Osama, the Republican's best friend.
linkI supported our original mission, which was humanitarian in nature and limited in scope. I can no longer support a continued United States presence in Somalia because the nature of the mission is now unrealistic and because the scope of our mission is now limitless. . . . Mr. President, it is no small feat for a superpower to accept setback on the world stage, but a step backward is sometimes the wisest course. I believe that withdrawal is now the more prudent option.
On November 7, Senator Hutchinson will be on the ballot here in Texas. No doubt millions of Texans will be unaware that their elected Senator coddles terrorists and will blindly vote for her because an (R) follows her name on the ballot. Any chance a major newspaper in the state will ask the Senator about her cut and run days? I didn't think so......... the so called liberal media will continue to roll over on it's back eager for a belly rub in terror of being called biased.

Don't forget that as Treasurer she 'allegedly' used her staff to do campaign work, then got the case moved to a 'friendly court' by Karl Rove.
ing "cut and run" .
Hey, I'm glad she's not a part of the national security team as well. I haven't voted for KBH since she insisted on admnistering CPR to Amtrak.
I think she truly is the stereotypical blonde bimbo.
Good Lord Nbadan! Is there anything for which Karl Rove isn't responsible?
I saw a T-Shirt once that said "I want to be like Martha Stewart. That can do anything."
Well, I think you should market a T-shirt that says, "Vote for Karl Rove, that bas runs the world anyway!"
Voting-wise, she's a tow-the-line Republican, and if you haven't noticed, it's hard to be distinct on that record.
Eh, I was planning on voting against her over the Wright Amendment issue anyway.
