If you dig Radiohead (I don't) and you dig reggae (I do), or you just like one of the two, check out this CD.

    Easy Star All Stars- Radiodread
Its a roots makeover of Radioheads "OK Computer" and its ing fantastic. These aren't your average covers and the thought that went into this album is apparent.

Also, check out their first CD, which I like even more

Easy Star All Stars- Dub Side of the Moon
This remix is along the same lines as the previous except they re-do Dark Side of the Moon in dub/reggae. Again, an amazing album.

If you ever get a chance to see this group live, do not pass it up. No matter what your musical tastes are, they put on one of the best live shows.

We are in the same boat. You should enjoy it. I wondering what Easy Star is working on next. I'm hoping for a Blood Sugar Sex Magic Chili Peppers remake.

I'm not a huge fan of dubs. I have to be in the right mood for it. Rocksteady and roots are my preference.

Right mood... definitely. The puff puff mood is a nice mood for dub though.

My favorite album is The Gladiators-Dreadlocks the Time is now. It's ing killer. A close second would have to be Burning Spears-Marcus Garvey.

trenchtown mix up by the gladiators is also of very high quality. i like their soul rebel cover much better than the marley vocal version myself, it's gritty as . , preverbial reggae is really good too. super ape is sublime, and i really dig roast fish collie weed and cornbread by lee perry - they're a bit dubby though. i am also really down with blowing with the wind, roots rebel rock reggae and east of the river nile by augustus pablo. another band with a great album is cymande s/t, but i wouldn't really classify them as reggae, but they are influenced quite a bit by it. ben wa's devil dub album is also incredible, but it's more of an electro-dub thing.

Indeed it is. Probably their best mix of songs put together on an album. Its one of those albums I can't help but sing along to.

Recently I have been listening to Buju Banton's Til Shiloh and Inna Heights. I like the way he mixes dancehall and roots styles.

Have you heard the Congos latest album...Give Them the Rights?

Its pretty damn good and was done under Groundation's record company.

And for those of you sleeping on Groundation..............wake the up. This band is on another level not seen or heard since the great Bob Marley. Buy their albums, all of them, or just download them and don't tell anyone.

Another good Radiohead tribute is from Christopher O'Riley. If you like RH and modern piano, check it out.

The Roots did make a nice new album. I'm just more of a fan of their older stuff.

Whoever recommended that Bill Laswell meets Roots Tonic deserves a big thank you from me. I love that album. I'm hoping Roots Tonic does some more stuff on their own. I'm also hoping the next album they do with Matisyahu is more like "live at stubbs".

    yeah.

Live @ Stubbs is an excellent album and I would recommend buying it.

Shake Off the Dust is also a decent album (his first)

Don't waste your time on his new one though. Weak and poppy.
