JOHN KERRY now closes his presidential campaign exactly as he opened his political life: Attacking the United States military.

So, you disagree? John Kerry's ranting on the "incompetence" of allowing 380 tons of explosives to go missing during the Iraq invasion isn't a swipe at our military? Particularly the 3rd ID and 101st Airborne?

Wow, Joe...what else could he have meant?

I heard that the Commander in charge when they attacked didn't even bother to inspect them. If that is true, then how do we know that they were gone before we got there?

From who? And, just because you "heard" something, does that make it okay for a candidate, seeking the position of Commander-in-Chief, to indict the 3rd ID and 101st Airborne, without benefit of a throrough investigation -- simply for political expedience?

There's a whole lot more to be known about the "380 tons" of explosives before anyone can be presumed accountable...

    And, another thing:
"...how do we know that they were gone before we got there?"
Why is it that you, and many others on this forum and in the Kerry camp, feel a right to know every goddamned thing that transpires in the war on terror? Maybe we just knew. Maybe we knew because of intelligence. Maybe we knew because, whenever the source "you heard" it from wasn't looking, someone actually did check the building. Maybe we knew because we saw it all leaving the facility, from satellites, in the months leading up to the invasion.

Who gives a how we knew? How do you know it was there when the 3rd ID and 101st arrived at al Qaaqa?
