Line: NEB -7
Nebraska (1-0, 4-1, 2nd Big XII North)
Iowa State (0-1, 3-2, Tie 3rd Big XII North)
Thoughts: #22 Nebraska didn't show up to play last week, yet still managed an ugly 39-32 OT win against Kansas, avoiding back-to-back losses to the Jayhawks since the 1960's. Nebraska aims to regroup and will test itself in its first conference road game, against an Iowa State team that narrowly beat I-AA opponent Northern Iowa 28-27.
GO BIG RED!
Prediction: Nebraska 32, Iowa State 17
Have not lived in NE in a L-O-N-G time! How do you guys feel about what they did to Solich and has it hurt your football team? Just wondering. Nebraskans were always so proud of their football team!
The firing of Solich still pisses a lot of people off. For the most part, its the old-timers and other people who don't watch any college football other than Nebraska. It may not have been handled the smoothest, but he had to go. Recruiting was getting horrible, and that's where the majority of the games are won. It's been tough the last few years, but the momentum is picking back up. We're definitely worthy of the top 25, but not quite on the BCS level. We've shown improvement ever since Callahan came, and hopefully next year we'll crack the top 10 and get a BCS bid.
Justin case this helps anyone out...

5 Hours till gametime...not like any important Big XII games are before this.... :-/
Tie game at the beginning of the Second Quarter...
GO BIG RED! They won!! 28-14. A little sloppy toward the end, but I'll take it! Haven't lived in Lincoln since '83, but have consistently followed the team and have appropriate decor on the vehicles!!! The positive side about mediocre seasons lately, is that the Huskers usually end up down here in the Alamo Bowl! Hopefully they'll do better this year bowl-wise. Are there any Husker watch parties here in town?
My prediction was pretty close...
