If this deal goes down, look for NJ to scoop up Tony next year.
It's being reported on local radio that this deal is just about finalized. An announcement should come soon. If Kidd's knee is healthy, the Blazers will be an immediate contender.

Yes, KFXX in Portland. They also scooped the stories on the Blazers signing Van Exel and the contract extension of D-Miles so they are pretty liable. They are reporting that the deal is finalized and will be announced in the next few days.
who cares
Huge risk for the Blazers, Kidd isn't even close to being cleared by doctors.
That certainly shakes up things in the West. The Blazers will be very good once Kidd heals up. Good enough to get very deep in the playoffs...even WCF good.
This is true. Micro-fracture surgery isn't a sure-bet regardless of how close he is to returning as well. However, having Abdur-Rahim and Randolph clearly was not going to work. Both are post-up power forwards and using them both as starters isn't working well and was only being done to showcase Shareef. We need Darius Miles in the starting lineup with Zach. Getting Kidd is a risk, but if his knee recovers it could be HUGE for the Blazers.
Are other players involved i.e. Telfair?
Anyone think the Spurs will try to get in on the running? If they don't want to give Parker $66M this summer and they don't want to give him the max next summer, they might be thinking that Kidd is the next best plan.
Trading for Kidd it would be a huge mistake for the Spurs.
I have heard no other information. I hope Telfair is not part of the deal.
No way the Spurs go for Kidd. Imagine PG rotation of a guy coming off micro-fracture surgery and a guy backing him up coming off (fill in the blank) injury?![]()
Interesting development. If it happens, the Blazers will be back.
The only player to return to form after this surgery is Kerry Kittles -- and he took a whole year off. I understand that Abdur-Rahim/Randolph combo isn't working, but I don't know if it's worth the risk.
the only player i would want from the blazers is miles
paul allen has th emoney to buy kidd's contract out
Good luck for the Blazers...if healthy this is pretty damn good for the Jailblazers...
Should be an intereting year.
If we trade Parker for Kidd Pop better relocate to a new country.they might be thinking that Kidd is the next best plan.![]()
Yeah if the Spurs don't want to pay Parker they might as well deal him to NJ. Perhaps include Rose too.
That should make a lot of people here happy.
Hey gang, very interesting. I hope it goes down - I have Rahim and Miles on my FL team.
It won't be too good for the Lakers in the Pacific.....
Nah. I'm not worried. That surgery Kidd has is a mess. He may be pushing himself to look as good as possible now to get traded but he's not going to last the season.
Well, we'll see...do the Blazers given there penchant for incarsirated players want to gamble on Kidd who beat his wife...
